12oz bottle. Small beige head atop hazy dark amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, earthy, some caramel/bread, grapefruit. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, caramel, some raisin, grapefruit, earthy, light medicinal. Medium body, low carbonation, quite drinkable despite the ABV.

A very special beer. The nose is intoxicating, featuring dark brown sugar and mid-range hops. The taste profile is dynamic, with rich molasses, biscuity malt, prunes and both ripe tropical fruit and grapefruit in the significant but balanced hops. The body is rich and a touch syrupy.

Bottle - deep red with a frothy light tan head. Fairly hoppy with a grapefruit peel taste. Has a medium malty caramel body to it and a dry finish.

Amber with a white head, nice lacing, and a sweet, grapefruit nose. Lightly-carbonated and malty with a molasses, brown sugar, grapefruit finish. Hides the alcohol well.

Pours a nice clear red color with some lacing. Smells malty and sweet with a strong aroma of piney hops. Tastes bitter and piney. I like this a lot! One of the better reds I have had.

I donít know why this ale isnít rated higher. It is OUTSTANDING in all categories! I know what Iím talking about because Iíve been a home brewer since my high school & college days and have gotten numerous compliments on my brews. I had Green Flash for the first time tonight at Ditkasís (Big Mike) Restaurant in Oak Brook, Il, along with their finest 3/4 pound angus beef burger (the best in the midwest) with delicious hand cut fries. Believe me, the Green Flash ale will put all other ales to rest. Itís strong, tasty without much hop bitterness & goes down smooth. And itís brewed in sunny San Diego. Try it, youíll love it!

A big bold IPA with a bit of red color and a hoppy finish. A little fiery, like most redheaded women I know. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Komachi. Nose is cherry, grapefruit, caramel, earth rye bread. Pretty, glowing red, clear, deep. Fine head. Strong alcohol, caramel, earth, a bit roasty. Somewhat gummy. Big chewy body. Nice peppery, prickly finish. Boring and not as good as the old one, and too strong.

Draft at Pony HK. Pours a deep reddish brown body with soapy brown lacing. Aroma is soft hops (kind of fruity) and sweet malt. Mouthfeel is medium with light bready character, sweet syrupy resin flavor and pine. Ok.

12 oz. bottle at AmerAsia, poured into a pint glass. Pours a clear deep reddish amber color with a small off-white head. This has a deep, abiding tea flavor throughout, which I really dug. Good amount of grapefruit, too, with grass, earth, pine, and toasted and amber malts. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter, tea-like mouthfeel. Good beer.
