4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I had some issues when originally posting this. It didn’t go through. I’ll just do a summary.
Right from the open bottle, the hops were very strong. Poured a nice ruby color. Very nice head. Good retention.
Aroma was very high in hops.
Taste was hop bitter. There was a touch of malt sweetness, but not a lot. Mostly bitter, but clean.
Mouthfeel wasn’t very heavy. Body wasn’t very heavy. Alcohol taste was low. Despite the ABV, I consider it drinkable.
Overall, it was phenomenal. An excellent IPA. Very hoppy, and flavorful. Must try!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler from the Malt Shoppe. Reddish copper pour with an off-yellow
head leaving some spotty lace. Nose is huge grassy toffee. Later
some dark fruits and some grapefruit show through. Taste is of sweet
fruits, sprucy pine, chewy resin, toffee and citrusy fruits. Quite
bitter and chewy. Medium bodied with some alcohol presence. Finishes
grassy bitter with some sweetness. A flashback to older style Green
Flash stuff - heavily bitter. Tasty, and few are ever this grassy any

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle pours a deep reddish brown with moderate lasting off-white head and a bit of lacing. Aroma is full of caramel and bready malts with some dark fruits and a touch of citrus hops. Taste is slightly sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Body is medium to full with a sticky mouthfeel and subdued carbonation. I was looking for something different and strong, and this one fit the bill perfectly.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Yea, so this is your textbook west coast American strong (not that there is anything wrong with that) - heavy malt nose of raisin, cherry, dark bread, with the undercurrent of strong American hoppiness - taste is similar - some dark bread and mild dark fruit, but mostly resinous, citric, and slightly garlicky hops - for what it is, it’s alright.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours luscious translucent dark honey-golden with a very thick buff head. Aroma is not strong, but tempts with woody hop and malty tones. Flavor has stronger hoppy and woody notes, more wood and bitter evergreen, plus citrus and caramel hints. Mouthfeel has decent body and good fizz. Get your head a-hoppin’.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from The Drinkery, Londonderry, NH. Aroma is bready malts with some yeasty dough. Appearance is cloudy dark reddish brown (like an apple cider with a lot of sediment) with virtually no head, no sparkle, minimal lacing. Taste is mild sweet early to middle with late mild bitter that lasts into the finish. Palate is medium bodied with fairly thick texture, carbonation to support the body but is not noteworthy. Overall, a very solid beer whose reputation exceeds it.
