LooseCannon (516), Norfolk, Virginia, USA May 9, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours reddish amber in color with thin off white head. Aroma strong citrus hops. Taste grapefruit, hops and caramel malt with bitter finish. Jonpol (1181), Sasquacho, Arizona, USA May 8, 2008 A crazy hopped brew pouring a solid lasting head leaving behind a classic lace. Sasquatch says the aroma is "vitalizing". "Curls my nose hairs". Full nectar with superb carbonation creating a chewy mouthful of softness. Beautifully balanced with malty thickness offset by choppy hoppiness. This brew is a meal. The finish is bittered better than well delivering a hop heads anticipation. This stuff is so drinkable. Highly recommended. Angeloregon (1238), Portland, Oregon, USA May 6, 2008 Tasted at the Brewery in Vista, CA--Rich amber body with a bold, frothy whitish head. Floral hop aroma. More floral than bitter. Well built. One of the best beers to date! hellbilly (608), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA May 3, 2008 listed as an amber @ papago. pours a very rich looking dark amber with a frothy head. it leaves behind lots of sheet-y lacing. initial aroma of fresh green hops... leads to lots of pnw hoppiness, pine, grass, grapefruit, chocolate and some caramel. it’s hard to taste anything but hops and caramel at first as the bitterness destroys my palate. as it warms though, it begins to sweeten and show some grapefruit pith, berries, soap/floral and some alcohol. nice dry bitter pine hop finish which lingers. medium body, smooth mouth feel and vibrant carbonation. this would be a decent ipa... weird amber, though. TURDFERGUSON (907), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Apr 29, 2008 Draught at the Speakeasy. Pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Nose is hoppy with a bit of roast. Flavor is over the top bitter, and not in a good way. Waxy and dirty is the only way I can describe it. Caramel malt backbone was also seriously lacking, especially for a APA or even a "hoppy amber" as this beer was described to me by the bartender. Made it very hard to drink and I didn’t finish my glass which is very rare for me, especially at a bar.
