omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden May 17, 2009 Bottled. Reddish brown, small beige head. Citric and grapefruity. Sweetish and caramelly with rounded, fairly slender mouthfeel. Hop driven with lingering powerful bitterness. Tasty stuff! ChazMania (408), Pasadena, California, USA May 12, 2009 Fresh tasting right at the brewery. I love Green Flash. This is a mild offering, it has the sweetness of caramel with a good kick from the hops. Very easy to drink and rather refreshing. I have had this many times before but noticed when I tasted it at the brewery that I had not yet rated it. This is a good year round drinker. oh6gdx (8798), Vasa, Finland May 11, 2009 Bottled@Konttori, Tampere. Deep reddish amber colour, small foamy head. Aroma is grassy and fruity hops along with some caramel malts. Flavour is quite much the same. The grassyness really grows towards the finish. charlotte (1997), Vanløse, Denmark May 9, 2009 Bottle.Deep reddish colour with small head.Aroma dried fruits and strong hoppy.flavor of citrus and slight tosted, nice blend of fruits, malt and hops.Feels well balanced and strong finsish. tokyogoat (505), San Diego, California, USA May 7, 2009 Pours an amber/copper color. I call it Ambopper.
Head is 1 finger of a very light tan colored foamy goodness.
Half way done and my glass has more lacing then my grandmother’s couch.
This beer is delicious, the hops are in the forefront, and they blend in nicely with the sweet malts.
I could session the shit out of this beer.
As a matter of fact, i think i’m going to. petematte46 (212), Dallas, Texas, USA May 6, 2009 12oz bottle, pours a reddish brown, smells like an IPA, tastes like an IPA, but supremely balanced, only problem with this one, and its minor is the mouthfeel, quite thick and syrupy i felt.. leems (147), Portland, Oregon, USA May 6, 2009 12 oz bottle pours light red, great hop aroma, yum! The flavor fits in perfectly with the aroma, nothing unexpected but enough going on to keep you interested. I could drink this beer all day long, all year long. TBone (6675), Pori, Finland May 5, 2009 Bottled (Beer Hunter’s).
Cherry red color, small off-white head. Flowery, fresh hay hoppy aroma, also caramelly notes. Medium-bodied. Good pale malty, slightly bready and caramelly backbone. Balanced bitterness from resinous Amarillo hops. Nice session beer. Maybe not "amber ale", closer to IPA/APA-hybrid.
