ScottyP (314), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA May 2, 2009 Pours dark copper color with tan head. Malty aroma, hint of hops and some fruityness. Taste the same, malts have a bigger presence in the taste, but balances well with the malts. Nice introduction to Green Flash. Looking forward to trying more from this brewery. ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador May 2, 2009 Bottle: #2 from the IPA sample series with ramenen. This is an excellent brew, strong pine, grassy and resin flavors in a great red-amber color with nice malty lining. Most definitely a Red IPA! FatPhil (3445), Espoo, Finland May 1, 2009 355ml bottle (Hilpea Hauki, Helsinki) - shared with Janne and Mirjukka - thanks!
Rich red, tiny head. Very sweet caramelly aroma, sticky hops too. Very sticky american hoppy ale. Sweet, hoppy, nothing interesting at all. JediMindTricks (239), Hampton, Virginia, USA Apr 29, 2009 it is what it is........................................................................... cking (1012), North Canton, Ohio, USA Apr 26, 2009 Big hop presence teetering between the realms of Pale Ale and IPA. Dark copper body with a spritzy white head. Citrus and flowery aroma. Bitter and filling, heavy malt body to counter the puckering hops. Tasted very nice, typical of a hopped up ale. Overall a nice selection, but would get lost among the other great pale ales. 41cubs (131), , New Jersey, USA Apr 21, 2009 Wow. Toffee, toffee, and more toffee. I’m not sure that any big time amber ale fans will find any typical resemblance, but that’s a good thing on my planet. Looks gorgeous, all dressed up a beaut. Aroma and flavor are balanced beautifully with what had to put the continental USA into a barley shortage, and a fine ever present bittering hop. Exeptional, full, satisfying mouthfeel. This by some west coast standards could be called a barleywine (not my standards). Thank You Green Flash. 2009 12oz. thebeertourist (2750), Oslo, Norway Apr 21, 2009 Bottle. Copper red with a tan head. Citrussy hop nose and taste, some caramel in the mouth. Solid West Coast amber ale. harbuck76 (127), El Cajon, California, USA Apr 20, 2009 12 oz pours dark amber with medium beige head. nice floral aroma sweet and malty .hints of fruit. got more than i was expected . enjoyed all 6 !
