Commercial Description:
Resinous hop character and bitterness balance the rich caramel malt base. We took it a step further and Amarillo dry hopped the brew to 45 IBUs, creating refreshing and savory hop flavors and aromas. Is it Red IPA? That’s your call.

Tap at Sacramento Brewing Co. Robust hop nose. Taste is very bitter with roast but no malt sweetness to balance it out. Bitterness lingers long on the palate.

Bottle. Pour is a deep red-brown with an extremely thin tan head. Aroma is basically caramel w/ a slight hint of grass. Tastes of caramel and toast with some slight dark fruit. Mouthfeel is relatively weighted with a dry, bitter finish.

Thick cloudy orange brown color with a thin off-white head. Hoppy aroma with fruit and caramel. Flavor of caramel and dark fruit with a dry hoppy finish.

Sampled at the Impromptu Butter’s 6th cellar clearance. Near clear dark orange with reddish highlights and thin wispy near white head. Nicely hopped nose with hints of caramel malt come through prevalently in the flavor. Toasty and almost a burnt quality. Lingering bitterness is exactly what I look for in a session beer.

12oz - Copper color, light tan head, mild hops on nose, good strong malty backbone able to carry a sufficient amount of hops.

Nice balance, interesting color. Lots of yeast floating on the bottom. Fantastic aroma. And more importantly, my girlfriend liked it.
