Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark Feb 26, 2009 Bottled. Hazy reddish brown coloured with quite some sediment. Hoppy aroma with some caramelly malt notes. Sweetish fruity and hoppy flavour. Slightly roasty malt flavour as well. Earthy notes. Moderately bitter finish. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Feb 25, 2009 Hazy, brilliant red when held to light, like grenadine, it shows a murky, rusty brown red otherwise. A medium yellowish khaki head sits on top. The massive nose has lots of grapefruit and almonds. There is a nice dandelion floral quality. Pungent nose. The taste has decently bitter bread crust and some lighter grapefruit. There was also some walnut in the finish. Nicely done. skmikeg (70), Poway, California, USA Feb 24, 2009 Updated: Jun 12, 2009Pours a reddish brown with a nice beige head that fades overtime. Aroma is very nice and include alot of hops and some biscuit malt. in terms of flavor, hops hit you off the bat and then you pick up the carmel and biscuit flavors from the malts. mouthfeel is a little oily with a nice sweetness to it. This is with out a doubt the best amber ale I have had. job well done Green Flash for making such a great amber. bigrond (1043), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 23, 2009 pours a deep red/brown with a quickly disapating white head. Aroma is great. Hops everywhere. Very dry, has a long lasting aftertaste. I am a fan of this beer. The only thing I wasn’t ready for is the floating....things. Are they the aftermath of the dry hop process?? I don’t know. This beer also seems to have an indentity problem, classified as an amber, tastes like an IPA. I notice the line between red ales and IPA’s is getting blurred. Very good beer all in all roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 21, 2009 Pours a nice bright clear red with thin layer of offwhite head. Aroma is nice balance of citric hops and sweetness. Flavor is very impressive balance of big citrus hops dark fruit malt sweetness. Overall, very good. HonkeyBra (1270), Lemont, Illinois, USA Feb 20, 2009 12 oz from AlexsDad06. Thanks man! pours amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is very hoppy, some biscuit and caramel. Great hoppy flavor with a nice sweet malt flavor. Great mouthfeel. Really nice for an Amber. thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Feb 18, 2009 Pour is a amber with a large soapy white head. Aroma is deffinatly pine hops with a nice biscuit malt. Flavor is again a very nice citrus hop with some caramel and dry malts. After the swallow is a nice resin of hop on the tounge as this goes down. A very tasty beer and probably the hoppiest damn amber ale you could ever have. pantanap (1323), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 18, 2009 12oz bottle. thanks to justin as a nice bonus to a trade....pours a semi-transparent copper red with a moderate soapy white head....ctirusy hop nose with an adequate malt backing. more hops than malt which is nice....flavors have a citrus hope with a decent resiny bitter bite to it. pretty lively in the mouth with a medium mouthfeel. a really hoppy bitter amber. pretty nice.
