Definitely woth having again. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 27, 2008 pours copper/brown, tan head.
Aroma and taste, loaded with fruity hops and fruits with additional caramel and malts.
Too much hops for my tastes. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Nov 26, 2008 Bottle... Poured cloudy red with a beige head. Strong hops on the nose. Well carbonated and very dry which complemented the hop flavors. Other earthy spices and sweet floral flavors with plum or prunes in the finish. bsierra (213), Vista, California, USA Nov 20, 2008 On tap at Stone bistro. Pours a hazy brown ruby with a foamy off-white head that was long lasting. Nose is of citrus hops and caramel, some malt sweetness with a candy fragrance in the background. Taste starts with a nice hop bitterness with a taste of toasted malt and dark bread, faint malt sweetness and caramel flavors. Finishes with a medium dryness and fine carbonation and not to much either. I really enjoyed this one, another fine North County brew!
presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Nov 18, 2008 Red amber. Thick head. Fruity hop[y scent with a strong malt presence. Woody hop flavour with a bit of a twist. Lagunitasfan (432), San Diego, California, USA Nov 18, 2008 On tap at Stone. Was bottom of keg or something, so not fair to rate other than a place holder. Super cloudy. Looked like an unfiltered copper/red. Was still enjoyable, but not right. Will rerate soon. BlackForestCO (819), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Nov 17, 2008 Bottle from ucusty, thanks man. Poured a deep red color with a thick, dense off-white head that left thick lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, some earthy floral hops, and light citrus (orange peel, light grapefruit). Smooth, lightly sweet entry with some light caramel malt and iced tea that leads into a moderate dry hoppiness with some light citrus (orange, soft grapefruit, and tangerine) and a soft leafiness. Moderate carbonation and decent bite on the palate. Solid. BMan1113VR (2757), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Nov 15, 2008 Pours with a large, off-white foamy head and a hazy amber brown body. Head has good retention. Aroma of light citrus hops, some caramel and light toasted barely. Taste is lightly citrus hops with a ton of caramel and toffee/amber malts. Fizzy mouthfeel, a bit watery.
