Commercial Description:
Resinous hop character and bitterness balance the rich caramel malt base. We took it a step further and Amarillo dry hopped the brew to 45 IBUs, creating refreshing and savory hop flavors and aromas. Is it Red IPA? That’s your call.

Tasted this ale on draught. While the cereal malt base slightly outweighed the hop character of this red ale, the Green Flash Hop Head Red achived its goal of a more bitter red. Head lasted for the most part but could be stronger. Solid dry texture, what one would expect from a comparable IPA. Overall, a quality brew, and worth a try.

12 oz bottle from EZ Liquors. Pours a hazy red amber with an average to large creamy beige head. Pine tree aroma with a slight touch of caramel in the background. Flavor falls very flat compared to the aroma but there is lots of fresh hop notes along with some grain. Medium bodied with a strong bitter finish. This beer is nice but why the hell is over $11 a six pack especially considering that it’s only 6% alcohol.

Bottle into pint glass. This beer pours nicely nice size head. Very nice dark amber color, scent is of citrus piney predominantly. Nice hoppy flavor that is perfectly balanced with a perfect amount of malt. Payed about 11 bucks a six pack and I’d do it again!!!

Bottle. The usual reddish amber with a nice off-white head. Initial soft piney hop aroma with a touch of maltiness. Flavor is mostly piney hops with some roast and caramel malts in the background. Some light lacing left in the glass. An nice choice for an easy-to-drink IPA/IRA.

12 oz. bottle into pint glass. Great clear dark copper color with a big frothy light tan head. Very balanced resinous hop aroma with a trace of malt in the background. The flavor is simple - all hops. There is a bit of a unique after taste on the finish that I cant really put my hands on, but I would personally call this one an IPA. The flavor is mostly resinous pine hops - nice and refreshing. Medium to light bodied on the palate with little to no carbonation. Overall: great simple (session worthy) beer.

Standard red-orange color, long-lasting medium piled head. Nicely roasty, milk-chocolatey aroma, spiky, skunky hops. Malty but balanced body, lots of cookie-like malts, moderate hop flavor. Acidic, citric hop notes balance it out. Very well balanced beer - delicious.

Pours a deep garnet color with off-white head. Aroma is hops! Flavor is well balanced with some caramel malts and loads of hops. Earthy, resiny, piney hop flavors tingle through the taste buds. Full flavored brew, very delicious. I would call it a red IPA.

12oz bottle. Pours with not much carbonation. An off-white smallish head atop an opaque burnt dark red body. Nice color and good lacing despite the lack of carbonation. Aroma is floral, fruity hops with a substantial caramel background. Flavor is the same, mildly bitter with an intense maltiness. Grainy mouthfeel. This reminds me of Founder’s Red’s Rye slightly, though without the prominent rye I guess. This is pretty good but Green Flash has yet to blow me away.
