Commercial Description:
Resinous hop character and bitterness balance the rich caramel malt base. We took it a step further and Amarillo dry hopped the brew to 45 IBUs, creating refreshing and savory hop flavors and aromas. Is it Red IPA? That’s your call.

Pours a copper color with a tan head. Aroma is strong of citrus and pine hops with some caramel malts in the back. Flavor is sweet at first with the caramel malts and finishes bitter from the pine and citrus hops. Flavor lingers for awhile.

Cloudy, reddish brown appearance with a large, lasting, tan head and good lacing. Pungent pine/citrus hop aroma. Assertively hopped, earthy taste; pine and citrus again, modestly balanced with caramel malts. Medium-to-full bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel; bitter, lingering finish. If, in fact, this is an amber ale, then it is my favorite to date. But it leaves more of an impression as a solid IPA.

Beer pours a beautiful amber copper color with lots of little yeasties suspended in solution. The aroma was pine and the flavor was that of caramel malts, really sweet but the perfect amount of piney and resinous hops to balance this out. A lot going on in this one. Really nice.

Great thick foamy head, lasting, atop a dark reddish copper unfilitered brew. nice appearance. ahh, inviting malty forenotes with definite hops presence in the aroma with hints of orange zest. Oww, very dry hoppy grapefruit flavor...mouth is puckering dry. I like it.Extreme bitter aftertaste. Not for the faint of heart.

Poured a clear mahogany with a fizzy/frothy off-white head. Aroma of pine and grass, some slight earth, a touch of alcohol, some caramel malt. Flavor is assertive and hoppy with notes of some light citrus, some grassy hops, a touch of biscuity caramelly malt and a touch of metallic dryness to the finish. An amber ale? I had this pegged as an APA, though it is somewhat malty. Nice west-coast hop presence combined with some chewy malt makes this a heck of a stand-out session brew.

(Bottle) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with frothy medium-sized beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, bread, some chocolate, and orange. Flavor of citrus hops and caramel malt; nice balance.

Bottle. Pours reddish orange caramel, off white head. Aroma is malt caramel, vanilla peat (uh-oh). Flavor is the same, graham cracker, and bitter. It’s more on the wet peat side, but not over the edge. This may be one of the few peaty beers that I can actually drink. Way to go Green Flash.

Sample mooched off Maniac at Capital Ale. Citrusy floral hop aromas. Mostly clear amber brown with moderate grainy malt backbone supporting the citrusy tea like hop flavors with moderate bitterness. Light body and moderate carbonation. Finish is mostly dry with grapefruit and some hop bitterness.
