COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Resinous hop characteristics emerge from an enormous hopping with Columbus, Nugget and Amarillo overtaking the rich caramel malt base. To add luscious
hop flavors and enticingly floral hop aromas, we dry-hop the brew with bucket loads of Amarillo hops. Welcome to the world of Red IPA.

Pours a dark amber color with a very nice off-white head. The aroma is sweet malt with a ton of resinous citrus and piney hops, tons of grapefruit! The taste is amazing, I have had very few beers as smooth. Extremely well balanced, with a good malt backbone supporting a delicious hop profile.

Bottle from Lazy Dog. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin layer of light tan head. Aroma of floral hops and pine. Taste of malt and hops. Like a slight hoppy unsweet tea.

Good looking beer in the glass, creamy burnt amber color with off white thick head. Taste is hard to describe. Hints of citrus, caramel, pine, and malts. Starts off bitter on sip but finishes smooth. I will get this one again

Lovely beer, a sweet caramel maltiness pervades with slick citrusy hops in the finish. Easy to drink, flavorful as hell.

Malts, fruits, caramel and resin in the aroma. Amber with a off white head. Medium to heavy sweet and medium to heavy bitter. Medium body with a average carbonation. Bitter and dry finish. Overall a nice hoppy ale with a rich flavour.

Bottle (12 fl. oz.). Murky reddish amber colour. Half-inch off-white head, retains well, leaves an uneven film and a band of lacing. Aroma of fruity hops, resin, caramel, dust. Medium body, soft carbonation, refreshing mouthfeel. Taste is dusty-bitter with a nice fruity-resinous body, well-balanced. Dry finish.

Great Red IPA, definitely interested in cloning this one. It’s a great balance of red crystal malt flavor with hop flavor, firm, but not excessive bitterness.

Bottle - Bought Aug 2012; BBE undated; Drank Oct 2012 - BCA; heavily sedimented, lots of floaties. Amber Red in colour. Very Hoppy; piney resinous hops and floral leafy hops. Fruity; grapefruit and orange citrus. Malty; rich sweet caramel malt base. Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Heavily hopped. Moderately bitter; but not too bitter. Liked this a lot. Amber Ale or Red IPA? Nice Beer!

Hazy, dark amber to red body with a decent-sized, off-white head that laces the glass well. Strong, pleasant and quite unusual aroma. There’s lots of malt here, but it’s very gently roasted and it’s not giving rise to anything darker than sweet caramel. It’s even more hoppy, with lots of seriously overripe tropical fruits, especially pineapple. There are also notes of grapefruit, overripe strawberries and hints of orange. Really, really interesting stuff! The flavour is also this amazing malt/hop mix, with caramel, burnt sugar, truckloads of overripe tropical fruits, grapefruit, citrus and pine, with orange in the back. Dangerously addictive and more-ish, I can’t wait to have the next sip! Medium body, fairly dry texture and moderate carbonation. The most interesting beer this side of BIPA!
[35.5 cl bottle, enjoyed 1 month before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]
