On tap at Capones. Matt suggested I try this and it was my first choice for the night. Orange/Amber pour with a huge hop aroma Piney, caramel and fruit flavors tingled the palate. With a really good hop finish. This went over well.

Red body with a nice, frothy off-white head. Some decent lacing results! Complex aroma consisting of sweet malt, molasses, and some good grapefruit and floral hops. Medium bodied and creamy. As with the aroma, the flavor is complex. Sweet caramel and malt up front with a very nice bitter finish. Here is where the grapefruit hoppiness announes its prescence. I like this beer a lot.

Pours a nice looking beige head with a dark amber body with tons of floating sediment in it. The aroma of hops dominates the nose, along with a few citrus notes. Really good amount of hops in the taste of the beer itself (maybe a few too many for this beer though). A little sweet with a nice malty undertone. Having a few of these beers leaves your mouth kind of dry and hopped out, so it is hard to drink a bunch of these which is a problem for me who is the proud owner of a case.

The color was amber/red. The head was creamy, thin, and white. The aroma was amarillo hops, sweet, and citris. The flavor was strong amarillo, sweet fruit, and citris. The palate was full-bodied. The finish was way/hoppy.

Green Flash Hop Head Red is a cloudy, orangish red ale with particles in it. The off-white head fades to a film and leaves nice lacing. It has a fresh hop aroma, like juicy citrus. It has a medium-light body with low carbonation. It’s a little papery, but pretty smooth. The finish is loose. It’s nice and bitter, with notes of grapefruit peel and orange peel. It’s very top heavy, so I can’t really tell what’s going on with the malt. It’s pretty invigorating.

Draft at Stone Brewery. Aroma of caramel malt and pine/citrus hops. Tasted more like a red ale or amber ale with aggressive hopping. Pretty good for the style. Re-rate, 8/11/08; bottle. Nice red-hinted brown color with some off-white head. Nice aroma of sweet caramel, some biscuit malt and citrus. Flavor is the same, some earthy bitterness, slightly resinous. Pretty good amber ale.

On tap at the brewery gave a reddish amber hue with an off white head. Floral citrus aromas. Medium body. Solid hoppiness with a low key amount of the sweet malt. Finishes on the dry side. Pretty solid red.

Bottle pours a dark red color with a lot of floating particles in the glass. Head is tan to off white color. Has nice smells that remind me of hop fields. Taste is a nice blend of malts and hops. Most red ales are more malty. Its refreshing in the summer to have one that is hoppy, too. Nice brew.
