Poured deep amber/dark orange with a bit of copper in color with a medium-sized beige head that diminished. Clear. Sparkling. Full of small particles. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Flavor of hops, resin, caramel malts, and pine. Medium body. Oily, lightly sticky texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, resinous, hop finish. No, it is not a red IPA, because it is not red. Nate (2575), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Light caramel, very aromatic. Dark copper amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation - very drinkable. Starts with brown sugar, biscuit, and light caramel. Ozone, acidic and mild spicy notes. Huge bitter finish with resin and floral notes. Bitter after that sticks to the tongue. Another Green Flash overindulgence in hops. hopscotch (5558), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Bottle... Thinkin’ ‘Bout Thirteen Hours O’ Drinkin’ (tew man wrecking crew)... Mostly clear copper ale with a mid-sized, fluffy, khaki head. Excellent retention. Peppery aroma with notes of black tea and lemon. Full-bodied with a 2%-milk mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Medium caramel sweetness obliterated by heavy-assed, balls-out bitterness. Wow... those hops really pack a punch! Lengthy, tongue-numbing, heavily bitter finish. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 10, 2008 Very hazy amber pour, with a soapy head, and loads of large sediment flakes floating around - huge, earthy amarillo hops aroma, with undercurrents of pine, and sweet hints of caramel, oats, brown sugar - the flavor is slightly oxidized, so this may be a somewhat old bottle (though it has only been on the shelf at my local store for about 3 weeks) - very strong bitterness that manages not to become astringent, despite the fact that the beer never gets particularly sweet - very resinous and piny - the malt base is mostly biscuit/cracker-like in character, with just a light hint of caramel sweetness - nicely balanced despite its assertive bitterness. joeyplush (338), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Dark cloudy red/amber color. Nice tan head. Hoppy aroma balanced with roasted malt. Taste is smooth and hoppy as well, with a creamy texture. Didn’t impress me at first, but grew on me throughout the pour. JasonG (701), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Aroma is full of toasted caramel, along with a fair amount of black pepper spiceyness, touch of honey and oak. Flavor has fair amount of chewy malts, along with a ton of herbal hops and fair amount of medium caramel. FInish is very bitter. Overall pretty nice, definitely on the bitter side of the style though. desurfer (1069), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
