ross (1562), charlotte, North Carolina, USA May 16, 2008 Bottle that Daniel brought over. Green Flash has made it to NC? Cool, now all I need to see is the IPA on my grocery store shelves! This one pours out an actual red color with a nice tan head on it. Smell is great, somewhat malty, but mostly grass, pine, citrus, and west coast hop smells. The taste is similar, a typical west coast beer - plenty of hops, light carbonation, good balance. An easy to drink, very smooth interesting beer. I like this one.
bbp182 (254), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 11, 2008 It has a great Amber color to it and nice off white head. It has an amazingly bitter smell. Spicy, hoppy, very inviting. The taste is wow! To say its bitter is an understatement.it has a spicy, bitter, and just ridiculously hoppy taste. Lt_Dan (66), Greater Los Angeles Area, California, USA Oct 9, 2008 Pours a beautiful red with a fluffy tan head. I’d take a nap on it. Beautiful aromas coming from the Amarillo hops; also a whiff of caramel. Tastes magnificent. A burst of hops, some spicy sweetness, and some more hops. Very drinkable but some how packs a punch at 6%. Of note, more flavorful and lively on tap. shadey (1343), Rochester, New York, USA Oct 8, 2008 12oz bottle. Fresh. Pours a deep amber with plenty of bubbles and a spotty head of off-white creamy lace. Aroma is a spicy hops and a full caramel backbone. I have to admit I really enjoy the juicy nature of Green Flash’s IPAs. This is more full flavored and rounded but I’m not sure I like it as much. Beerded_one (1617), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 8, 2008 Bottle. Pours a copper/amber color with a white head. Aroma of piny and citrus hops with a hint of caramel. Flavor is piny and floral hops with grapefruit, citrus, and a touch of caramel sweetness. Medium body with a dry hoppy finish. lordeche (336), Bridgewater, Massachusetts, USA Oct 7, 2008 Dark red with reddish tan head. Loads of pine and citrus in the aroma with some maple. Flavor is nice and piney with a smooth caramel backbone and some tart grapefruit. Pretty damn good.
