4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Absolutely gorgeous - looks like a freshly poured Coke. Nose had light citrus and a hoppiness that seems at odds with the appearance. Flavor much more in the IPA vein than the color would lead one to believe. Spectacular beer

Draft. Dark brown pour, with a light tan head. Mild roast, chocolate, sweetness, citrus, only mild bitterness, and moderately hoppy. Black IPA on the smooth side, not heavily roasted or extremely hoppy.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml bottle from Rays in Tosa. Pours a very dark brown with reddish tints and an off-white head leaving spots of lace. Aroma has strong citrus & piney hops, and roasty chocolate and caramel. Taste is sweet caramel, chocolate, heavy resin, grapefruit, and pine with some nuttiness in the end. Medium bodied, chewy, and somewhat sticky. Finishes to the sweet side of bittersweet, and chocolatey-roasty. Tasty and enjoyable!

A decent drinking BIPA

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Burnt pineapple, chocolate / roast malt, pine sap, spruce needles, sawdust shavings, chocolate grapefruit bubblegum. Medium-full body, semi-sweet, strongly hoppy, not oppressively bitter. Soft body, a little smoke-y, a little savory. One of the better examples of a hoppy stout. At the same time it smells like a dull bandsaw burning pine in 7th grade shop class. From bottle.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Poured clear, medium-deep brown with a short beige head. The aroma picked up sweet, toasty caramel and black malts topprd by fresh pine and citrusy hoppage. The flavor found similar, with lots of roast and fresh bitterness.. the malts weren’t that interesting, but balance was very good. Medium-bodied with creamy carbonation. . Good feel and flow.. nice one.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours, well, black with a rich tan head and a bready treacle aroma. There is a hearty roasted malt flavor with a hefty dose of citra and probably Cascade hops. Excellent flavor and easy to drink.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bomber. Aroma is citrus, pine, grapefruit, caramel, and roasty chocolate. Flavors are citrus, pine, grapefruit, tropical fruit, caramel, coffee, and roasty chocolate. Nice hop forward black ipa, the nose is hop forward. The mouth is actually nice and balanced, not to overly bitter. Another great beer from green flash!

Bottle pour. I’m obsessed with this style of beer and Green Flash doesn’t disappoint. Well balanced with hops and malt that brings out a mellow citrus twang. Cheers!
