3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Amazing hop aroma but the palate is a complete and utter mess. Is this what it's supposed to taste like? Who decided that dark chocolate and super bitter resinous pine flavors worked well together? The hop profile would have worked much better with an appropriate malt bill.

Tap. Moderate malt notes of toasted and dark bread, pine resin for the hops, light dough for the yeast with a hint of wood. Head is small, frothy, tan with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling very dark brown. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a lively to fizzy carbonation. Nice Black IPA bite, and perfect balance everywhere else.
