This American-style Black IPA is nearly jet black and perceived to have high hop bitterness, flavor and aroma with medium-high alcohol content, balanced with a medium body. The appearance may trick you into thinking you are about to enjoy a traditional stout beer when in fact your senses are about to be overwhelmed with our Black IPA. Juicy, fruity, floral, and pine from Pacific Northwest hops gives the beer a classic West Coast IPA hop character. The Black IPA is further characterized by a balanced and moderate degree of caramel malt and subdued dark roasted malt flavor and aroma. 7.2% ABV, 85 Hops used: Warrior, Citra, Cascade

@Basunen: ganska trevlig mörk humledoft. Smaken är humlig, lite små brända toner. Ganska gott. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

Good for the style. Strong hoppy aroma that leaned to the side of pine. Dark brown color that gave it a stout-like essence. The palate was a little too watery for my liking. Carbonation was good. Flavors of hop bitterness up front followed by a caramel and roasted malt character helped to balance it. Good effort and by far not as good as their West Coast IPA.

From the 650 ml. bottle. Dark brown pour leading up to a light tan head that is foamy and lingering. The aroma has all those wonderful floral hops with the malty character more in the background. Medium to bold body. The taste explodes with floral hop goodness with a chaser of dark malt sweetness. Lingering bitterness at the end.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Kenny. Pours clear brown with a frothy, tan head. Nice aroma, some burnt pine, lots of juicy citrus, orange and grapefruit. Light to medium sweet flavor with dry, burnt wood, toasted pine, nice chocolate, roast, orange rind, melon. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with mellow warmth, more toasted pine, wood, earth. Solid.
