COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy pale ale starts out as 30th Street Pale Ale and then undergoes Spanish cedar aging. Wood aging imparts an intense cedar aroma which dominates the dry hop. The flavor contributions from the Spanish cedar include peppercorn spiciness and a tannic dry mouth feel that makes the hop flavor and bitterness linger in the finish. The wood adds a fun and unique twist on a classic American Strong Pale Ale, “The wood is good!” Hops used: Warrior, El Dorado, Cascade

22oz bottle shared. Poured a clear medium orange color with white head. Remembering this is a pale ale only the aroma is malty with plenty of hops. The flavor is pretty darn good. Medium malt base, with a nice buttering of hops. Followed up on the end with a mild woodiness. Overall quite tasty and well it’s good.

Draft at the brewery. It poured a clear copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was of hops and some resin wood. The taste was of bitter hops and resin with a bitter finish. Something different.

Bottle from Whole Foods Plymouth. Pours dark straw with 2-finger off-white head. Nose is piney hops, peppery cedar, pale malt. Tastes hoppy, cedary, with resin, pale malt, black pepper, and a bitter woody finish.

Draught at Country Boy. Nice orange pour with some hints of cedar/or wood throughout and pretty solid bitterness. Very good.

Taster while tailgating. Nose is my garden and that means nothing to you. First sip was aroo? Then I read the description: cedar. Woody, pine and hops. Weird but I like it. "It’s like yelling at someone to relax" best eavesdropping comment I’ve ever heard.

A way above average pale ale to start with, more complex in this format. The cedar woodsiness and peppery finish cover a little of the hop awesomeness that is the base, but this is also an insanely complex brew. Smooth, easy, yet contemplative

Foxbush (1283) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 26, 2014
Draft at Mirior Restaurant in Middlesex County This is a nice APA. The manager said it was a Virginia Beach beer. The ale poured a clear amber with a small white head. There was no lacing. There was an aroma of wood and the taste of floral hops and resin were evident. The ale had a medium body and average carbonation. The finish is clean, dry and pleasant.

En fût au Lord Hobo. Couleur orangée translucide, mousse beige laissant une belle dentelle. Arôme de cèdre, agrumes, lime, malt subtil. Goût de cèdre, houblon résineux, boisé. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.
