Our Citra Session™ IPA is brewed with high-quality Marris Otter and Vienna malt but the flavor is dominated by the Citra hops introduced throughout the boil and again in the dry hop for maximum aroma intensity. Notes of lemon, orange and grapefruit make this hop-laden brew a perfectly potable summer session IPA.

12 oz bottle served in a snifter. BB date stamp: 13 Jan. 2016. 65 IBU. 4.5% ABV. Sparkling clear golden-honey colored body topped by a weak head that does manages to leave a very durable but thin island of foam on top for a good while, and to leave some spotty lacing. Strong Citra hop aroma - no watered down IPA here. Flavor: Mild for a West Coast IPA, but admirably flavorful for a 4.5% ABV ale. Very low bitterness for style, especially before the finish.

Draft pour pint at Frankies pizza. Pours a light golden color with a big bubble head and lace. Solid session here. Easy drinking, heavy hop character, citrus fruit, and a cool, low bitter finish. Very tasty.

Appearance was clear orangish gold with diminishing creamy white and finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are tropical and soft citrus fruits abound with a touch of pale malt sweetness. Taste are pineapple, orange, grapefruit upfront with slight malt sweet mid sip, finishing with soft cedar, pine finish. Palate is smooth creamy CO2 with light body, lasting balanced fruity slightly drying finish. Overall a solid west coast session IPA, highlighting g the Citra hops.

12 oz bottle purchased at Tipsy’s in Mission, Kansas. The pour is a clear golden orange with a 1/2 inch white head. The aroma is fresh citrus fruit, orange tangerine, resin and some grass towards the back. The taste is the fresh bright orange tangerine resin hop character, simple clean flavor. There is also a nice cracker malt backbone which ties the beer together nicely. The palate is light bodied with bright carbonation and the dry citrus finish, which softly bitter and mineral. Super drinkable, right up my alley.

How: Bottle (12 oz) at home. Courtesy of Minderbinder, thanks!

>>> A nicely hoppy citra forward beer that is drinkable, but not as sessionable as the name or the abv suggest.

- Clear golden-orange with a medium off-white head, good retention and little lacing.
- Aroma is nicely hoppy and there’s no doubt that Citra hops were used here.
- There’s an interesting grassy presence throughout aroma and taste that persist a while in the aftertaste as well.
- Bitterness is moderate and bring a resinous presence.
- Body is medium, carbonation is moderate and finish is rather dry.
- Easy drinking, but not exactly "sessionnable" and certainly feels a bit heavier than 4.5% abv.

Flavors: Citrus, tropical fruits, grass, resin, mild malt spiciness, light caramel.

Bottle thanks to Cory. Clear bright gold pour with thin creamy white head, come lacing. Aroma is really good, lots of potent citra notes, wet juicy hop aromas, grassy with just a touch of honey. Taste is juicy, nice tropical lemonade notes, with a potent bitter grassy finish, just a touch of honey to smooth things out. Palate is light bodied, dry, just a touch watery with good carbonation. Super easy drinking, delicious.

2015 bottle. A mostly clear golden color with finger of white head. Smells of dank weed, citrus, tropical, onion, grass. Taste is a dank citrus hop, smidgen of cracker like malt in the finish. Citra done well, easy and sessionable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
