Sample at Über Tavern. The beer pours a clear yellow-gold color with a medium white head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grapefruit, hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, bready malt and pine. The finish is hoppy with a lingering zesty zitrus aftertaste. Pretty good overall, glad they brought this one back.

A hazed golden amber ipa with a thin lacing and creamy off white head. In aroma, classic San Diego hopped IPA with nice biscuit malt, nice floral and resinous hops, classic c-hop. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth. On tap at Aces and Ales tenaya.

Light amber color. Very dry white Grapefruits. Medium body, very dry, full on hop assault. Dry Chardonnay like finish. Very bitter. Enjoyable but doesn’t take me anywhere special.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours light amber with a creamy beige head. Strong citrus/resin aroma. Med body. Sweet caramel with enough resin and perhaps citrus to start a slow hop burn. Gets a little earthy with time. Finishes dryish and hoppy - tho not bitingly bitter. Nice IPA.

On tap at Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours dark blonde with a rich off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a full-bodied caramel malt flavor with a nicely bitter finish.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a clear golden color with a small off white head. The aroma has nice grapefruit, zest, resin, and grassy hops light caramel and toasted malts. The flavor loses much of the character from the nose and shows a very general bitterness, grass, toasted bready malts and earth. Nose is much better than the flavor.

17 sept 2013, tap. Yellow, clear, some steady bubbles. Nose is cotton candy, bubble gum, and some pine hops. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Taste is pine hops, granola malt, bitter grassy finish. Very nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On cask @ redlight redlight. Strong hop aromas, pine, fresh cut grass and grapefruit zest. Pours orange gold with a white head. Strong bitterness up front with bitter citrus peel with some malty sweetness peaking through but finishes with a very floral hoppy flavor. Very nice hoppy flavor.

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks good; a transparent golden orange with foamy white head that dissipates into sticky lacing. Smells and tastes solid; nice and hoppy with a well-balanced light-bodied pale malt backbone. Good on the palate. Good beer.

On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and dispensed to a shaker displaying a clear & bright, deep golden color, with a decent layer of off white/light tan head foam that gradually reduced to a ring & film, but left some clingy, patchy, web-like lacing. The nose was perfumey citrus as grapefruit, some pine, a touch of sweetness, and some tropical scent as pineapple. The flavor then presented an earthy, tanniny, hop bitterness that was hefty, very lingering, but not biting at all, and under control by the solid malt content. Good carbonation and a more than medium body, as the bitterness seemed to contribute an added sense of fullness to the palate. An IPA+.
