Pours clear gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Caramel and tropical fruit aromas. Sweet caramel and bready upfront turning to bitter earth and pith in the lasting finish.

Pours clear copper with a medium beige head, very fine lacing, good retention. Aromas of pine resin, grapefruit, tropical fruit, biscuit, caramel. Medium light body, smooth and creamy. Medium-light sweetness , fairly strong lingering bitter finish. Very enjoyable hop blend with just enough malt to emphasize the bitterness.

this is a nice, surprisingly balanced ipa. I am not seeing "hop extravaganza". Light to moderate citrus, spice, light pine and moderate malt. Earthy even. Not bad for most, but I expect a LOT out of GF’s hoppy brews.

On tap at Brunzies. Nice spicy hop aroma, pine, resin, apricot. Golden amber clear with lacing foamy head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts moderately sweet, caramel and biscuit. Big hop flavor, resin and ozone. Big bitter presence from start to finish, with lingering bitter finish and after.

Draft on tap at Flying Saucer KC (Kansas City, MO). Pours a decent hazed amber orange hue, a bit darker with a gentle fall leaves underfoot glow. Bigger cakey offwhite head atop stays larger and lively. A good layer sticks around and laces well enough. Aromas show a hop driven appeal, bigger citric hops are grapefruit and lemon, a kiss of gumball and tropical fruit. Gentle bread, firmer florals and some earthiness. Grass, gentle grain and dry straw. The hop element takes on some more potency as it settles more. Initial is lighter end of the fold, potent hop bitterness is soapy and bitter, firm fllorals and citric pithy jabs run the palate over. Some firmer florals, a bit of earth, gentle bready malts. The malt bill shows a touch of depth but never once gets sweet or all that noticeable. An appealing prickly bitter hop character sustains throughout, a bit powdery, certainly floral with citric rind, grapefruit and pithy fruit dancing in and out. Fresh, potent, but not a pushover in body. This one avoids the downfalls of a counter malt character, reamining centrally about the hops without beating you over the head about it. Powdery, dry, bitter. A nice fresh offering here that I’d drink with some regularity. While the nose doesn’t offer a big pop, the beer definitely delivers the goods.
