Tap. I guess they brought this beer back since it is listed as 2008 and Retired. It pours a clear gold. Light carbonation, but the heavy hop load make this a sipping beer. Lots of grapefruit/citrus is the flavor. A medium bitterness, but not over the top. Unfortunately the aftertaste stayed on my tongue detracting from what was otherwise a very good IPA.

Draft at Anthony's. Deep caramel with a white head. Strong, piney hops and citrus sweetness to cut it.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2014 Tap. Pours hazy butterscotch amber, small creamy white head, nice lacing. Aroma is light citrus, pine. Flavor same, a bit dank some caramel, light sweet, medium bitter, harsh and a bit aged. Medium body, bit watery. Not much going on here.

Overt citrus and orange. Pours a hazy burnt orange with full white head and lacing. Taste is full citrus with moderate cracker malt. Moderate bitterness is well blended.

On tap at 28 Springs thanks to Casey. Pours a golden amber with two fingers of head. Lots of pine and citrus. Flavor follows with a good bit of malt also. Somewhat bitter but not overbearing. Medium bodied. Very nice ipa.

Draft in a sampler at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a pale, clear yellow-gold with a small bubbly white head. Very, very light in aroma and flavor, which is fine, but it’s also a little bit off for what I’d expect from a Green Flash IPA. There’s a distinct soapiness that messes up an otherwise clean, lemony, floral beer. Very light maltiness. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a dry, soapy mouthfeel. A bit disappointing.

Draft at Rivertowne in Pittsburgh. Light caramel color. Great citrus hop aroma and taste. Good texture. Foamy head. Light pine notes and caramel. Great ipa!

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2014 Delicious drop sampled from tap at Hashigo Zake. Initial taste is full and in balance - followed by a pleasantly long bitter finish.

Taster at the brewery. Pours a golden with a light ivory head. Nose of mostly pine. Taste follows the nose. The mouthfeel fits as a light medium. Not one of my favorite Green Flash beers but okay.
