While developing the recipe for our White IPA, we lined up malted wheat and more than a dozen hop varieties to select the three hops with the most citrus character: Simcoe, Amarillo and El Dorado. A citrus hop explosion leaps from the glass with big tangerine aromas up front, while hop flavors of bitter orange zest dominate and linger to the finish.

This is a good IPA, and itís definitely White. Mouse pillow head. The hops are aggressive, and bitter at the end. Slight orange flavor as well. Of course you donít get much malt fkavor, but itís not bad. Nice bod.

Very nice beer, clean and fresh from start to finish. Crisp flavor on top of a nice floral and citrus aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle. hazy golden with one finger head. nice ipa with crisp hops and solid bitterness. i feel like the amount of bitterness present overpowers the yeast a bit, and i might have preferred to dial it back a bit. otherwise, well done.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white frothy head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Dusty yeast, caramel and tropical fruit aromas. Medium bodied with sweet yeast and dried fruit upfront turning to hot pineapple before the bitter pith finish.

Tap @ the Answer. Yellow with thin head. A little bubble gummy with a tart apple undertone. Moderately hoppy with a tad of a sour undertone. Seems well balanced with a decent hop finish.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Superstar-Huntington, 10/5/14

Aroma: The aroma is citrus hops/zest, orange peel, pepper/spice, and a bit of wheat as well
Appearance: It pours a murky gold-orange color with a thick, long lasting froth of off-white head
Flavor: Taste-wise, the citrus rind shines, lots of orange, a bit of pepper, and a light, wheaty sweetness
Palate: The body is medium, but feels full for the style, with average-plus carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a surprisingly bitter example of a White IPA. The citrus rind bitterness completely overpowers the wheaty sweetness, not in a bad way, but definitely in an "Iím here, notice me!" kind of way. Pour-wise, it has one of the longer lasting heads I can recall on a beer. It is clearly another winner from the Hop Odyssey series. Iím a fan for sure.

Pours a nice, cloudy golden with a medium slightly clumpy yellow-tan head with decent legs. Nose is lemon with a bit of flowers, some orange oils. Flavor rather sweet with long bitter finish. Components are good. The mouthfeel is slightly chalky and oily at the same time. Unfortunately, the blend of flavors is a strange mish-mash, and for me this is just average.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of spice, some citrus peels and some hops. Sweetish flavor with wheat, malt, a bit of fruitiness, some spiciness, some fruity hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Quite nice.

Cloudy blond color with small compact head. The mouthfeel is round, it has delicate wheat and bread flavor. Dry final with some citrusy presence.

Bottle. Very light colored, more or less golden yellow with a big pile of white foam. The equally bright citric aroma carries over a foot. This drinks with a very acidic sting of fresh lemon and orange, sticking to the inside of the mouth. (#5736, 9/14/2014)
