COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"San Diego-style IPA, as it has come to be known by many, is a super-hoppy, high gravity, yet highly quaffable ale. Green Flash Imperial IPA is created in this new tradition, with intense hop flavors and aromas from a unique blend of Summit and Nugget hops. It’s all about the hops!" -- Brewmaster Chuck Silva

1 pint, 6 fl. oz. bottle. Pours a clear light to medium gold, with a large white head, which lasts fairly well and leaves good lacing. The aroma is an absolute mass of tropical fruits, blending strong lychee and kiwifruit notes with slightly milder mango and passionfruit. These tropical flavours come through up front, with strong pineapple and kiwifruit hops notes leading into bitter grapefruit. A tiny hint of white bread and caramel malt segues into more grapefruit, pineapple and some lime in the finish. This beer is, as the label proclaims, all about the hops, and they are quite prominent both in the flavour and aroma, it is not as aggressively bitter as might be expected of an imperial IPA. The bitterness is there, but it is quite subtle, building rather than offering in-your-face power. This gives a bit more room for the fruit flavours of the hops to shine, and creates a fruity, flavoursome and still potent beer.

Arizona strong beer festival. Great aroma, but I just didn’t get into it as much as I expected. Too much pine, not enough citrus. Maybe I’m just expecting a different blend of flavor.

Bottle. Rather disapointed. For an Imperial it’s quite anonymous, both in aroma and taste, no real heavy IMPERIAL charracter. Not bad, not bad at all, but it doesn’t really hit me the way I’d like.

This is awesome, one of my favorites now. Aroma is super hoppy with floral and citrus tones. It is a clear amber with a white colored head, leaving a nice lacing on the glass. The taste is amazing, like biting into a hop. Light sweet taste at first then goes very bitter, no bite even with the 9.4 ABV. Medium bodied and smooth on the palate. Overall one of the best IPAs I have had, defiantly going to drink this again.

From the tap came a cloudy copper brew with a white head. I smell malt, floral hops, cat piss, and a hint of stinky feet. It has a silky mouth feel and a very bitter hop flavor with a malt follow up.

Bottle 65cl @Bir&Fud Bottega. Amazing intense aroma of resin, pine, some citrus (grapefruit, lemon) hops and a strong caramel/nuts background which is not so amazing as the fruity ones actually. Taste of hops, resin, citrus and intense beans (!) flavor. dusty, resinous, fizzy mouth feel, medium body. Quite bitter. finish Typical west coast IPA with some odd/off flavors. The hops component results a little bit unbalanced IMO. I didn’t like it that much

murky, nearly opaque copper, with a rocky head that dissipates very unevenly but leaves a foamy cap. Nice tropical aroma of peach, pineapple, mango, a bit of grapefruity pine, and a mix of toffee and caramel sweetness. Flavor is rich and hoppy with incredible balance. Taste starts with some mild caramel sweetness, then morphs into a floral and tropical hoppiness with mild bitterness...in fact, much less bitterness than I expected for a west coast IIPA. Mango, grapefruit, pineapple, perhaps a little apple as well, with balanced bitterness and caramelly sweetness. Nice quaffable body with big nuanced flavor.

Pours to a golden orange with a nice white head. Aroma is a citrusy orange and hops, and the taste is the same, with a balance of malt and hops. It’s a very nice brew.
