3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy Orange/Gold Color with White Head. Fresh Wet and Dry Hopped Aroma. Easy to Assume that Your Palate is About to Receive a Hop Attack. Medium Mouthfeel. Very Sweet but Dry Hops Balance it Out Quite Well. Initial Notes of Citrus, Particularly Grapefruit. A Bit Piney. Very Nice Hit of Mouth Watering Hops. Sweet Herbal Dry Aftertaste. Very Well Done Impy IPA.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours golden with a medium, dense, lasting head. Big citrus, grapefruit, aroma. Nice lacework covers the glass. Big bitterness hits the tongue with a slight sweetness, bitterness lingers on. Awesome. Body is just perfect. Thick enough to stand up to the huge bitterness and alcohol. And even a bit of malt to back everything up. Brilliant.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle. Clear gold straw with a white, doughy head. Nose is big on citrus, apple and melon. Light strawberry with subtle caramel-banana. In contrast, taste starts with a sharp, dry pith bitterness countered with a dash of pineapple. Another wave of bittering washes in leaving juniper and capers. A little harsh for my taste but hop freaks should love it. Quite fruity with spicy food.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
650 mL bottle. Hazy deep yellow amber with fluffy white head. Aroma of pine and hemp. Thick chewy and very bright palate. Initial taste of tangy sweet malt with some fruit character transitioning to a piney hemp taste and finishing with a semi-dry bitterness and a lingering hoppy perfume in the back of the throat. Wow, this is good.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy deep golden orange with a creamy off-white medium head that leaves a lot of lacing behind. Strong sweet hoppy aroma with orange, grapefruit and perhaps canteloup melons. Very appealing. Strong bitter hoppy taste with a thin clear bitter body. Noticable warming effect. This is great stuff, but in making it an imperial IPA, theyíe lost the citrusy flavour of the standard GF IPA. Itís still very very good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thanks to Odeed for the bottle. 22 oz. bomber pours an orange-yellow color with small white short-lived head. Not much lacing to it. Very sweet grapefruit and orange smell along with some floral hops in the aroma. Didnít seem to be as hoppy as I thought it would be. You can tell theyíre there, but only lurking in the background. The sweet citrus comes through much more prevalent than the hops do unfortunately. Still very good though and would definitely seek out.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Went 0-2 on guessing the hops here but oh well. I really enjoyed it regardless. Amber orange with a moderately large head, solid lacing and retention. Aroma is citrusy fruity hops with a tad bit of grapefruit and caramel. Medium bodied with a farily bitter finish. I really enjoyed this because it uses hops that most IIPAs donít use. It is very tasty and isnít more of the same. If evey IIPA had summit and nugget hops I would have enjoyed this much less.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: OCT 29, 2009 22 oz bomber.
Nice slightly hazed dark orange coloured beer, with a nice looking off white frothy, thick head.
Pungent hoppy aroma, transcending the usual pine..till I get a whiff of green onion! All hop.
Very bitter indeed, grapefruit, pine, crab apples, thankfully none of the "green onion" makes it to the taste, but this is all mouth puckering juicy bitterness. I believe the 101 IBU!
Ok mouthfeel , though the unrelenting bitterness does challenge the taste buds.
Overall an OK beer..for sure a great one for hopheads.
But for me it went just too far.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy tannish gold. Extremely fine head settles to an incomplete cap, which leaves some lace.
Wild hop nose - lots of piney, sappy notes, combined with a peachy citrus note. With time, some pineapple and sweat come out. No hint of malt.
Big hop flavor in the mouth as well. There is a penetrating bitterness throughout. Tons of citrus and sappy pine. There is a wooliness to it, presumably from all of the raw hop. There must be some malt in there somewhere, but I never tasted it - its sole purpose seems to be to provide a pulpit for the hops to preach from. Long, bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is a bit furry from all of the hops. Drinkable, but I prefer some discernible malt in both the nose and the palate. I was surprised this has a lot of Summit in it - the few other beers Iíve had that were hopped with that beers have tasted of scallions to me, so this was a pleasant surprise. Also, the 9+% alcohol was well hidden.
