3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber courtesy dirty_martini. Pours a clear orange with a lacy white head. Massive pine aroma, with a touch of citrus. Sweet full body with moderate carbonation. The taste and finish were a nice surprise. Rather than the tongue-shredding pine resin bitterness I was expecting, I found an nice mix of citrus and pine, with a malty note here and there. A nice beer. Thanks Larry!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazed peach color, creamy white head. Intense fresh hop nose of sweet pine and earth, with softer honeyed citrus tones. Flavor is full of rich green leafy hoppy cannabis-like notes, hints of melon and sweet earth. ABV is well hidden and integrated. Scary drinkable without a doubt. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, bitter finish. Great for getting your hop fix on. Priced well at $4 per bomber...

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22, thanks to the kind hand of BitBucket. Cheers! Dense moussy head on top of a cloudy amber body. A real cavalry charge of a nose; so piney itís like one of those CAR-FRESH-NERs right out of the package. The bodyís nice and full and the attack is bold and the mid-palate is tangy with sylvan redolence, but the finish is a bit of an afterthought. Not quite as complex and lingering as the ABV and the style might lead you to suspect, but as an IPA and a half, this is a hell of a beer.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
JSquire, Hotstuff and I had this at a tasting party at his house last night. This $3.99 bottled brew from a rating party poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy light orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was piney hoppy and malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a piney hop aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of malt and piney hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle and served in NB Worthy glassware from the PP 12-hour fest: Pours a illuminating golden hue topped by a big fluffy white head and produced excellent lacing in itís wake.
The aroma is dominated by floral and pungent hop vapours. I noted pine, lemongrass, orange and grapefruit zest, hint of clove and anise, biscuity and toffee malt, and a dash of aromatic sugars. The taste is extreme juicy up front with a citric twang and support by smash mouth bitterness. The middle displays a note of malty sweetness for balance and then it finishes off with mild peppery undertones. The aftertaste is dry and a touch soapy after a while. The mouth feel is aggressive at first with acidic and bitter snap but mellows into a easy to approach beer. Again, the aftertaste feel is the weakness of the brew, much too chalky and medicinal.
Overall a good brew in moderation but it tends to lose it power after one glass. I would try it again however to see if better on a fresher palate as it was my 3rd IIPA of the night.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
22 oz bomber. Pours to a hazy, pale golden color, with a thick and creamy, white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is fantastic, as it just explodes with zesty and frangrant aromas of pine and citrus. The palate is firm, with lots of good pale and biscuit malt flavor, paired with a wonderful, candied citrus/hop flavor. This beer finishes with more good malt and hop flavors up front, then ends with a very bitter, citus/pine hop bite that lingers. This beer is an outstanding Imperial IPA, and hides it 9% abv very well. A dangerously drinkable beer at that strength, so beware. This beer is the ultimate after work cocktail beer, and would make a fantastic aperitif, and a great beer to match with spicy foods. Impressive.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Surprisingly light bodied for an Imperial. Pale dark straw color. Big white head. Not much aroma. Flavor is unique, its pretty grassy and citrusy hop flavor with not a ton of bitterness. More fresh hop like flavor then bitterness and a light malty flavor. Also the alcohol is extremely well hidden. In the final result i like this beer but i cant believe this is an Imperial, tastes like a regular Ipa.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: APR 28, 2007 Tap @ Hamiltonís, SD. Good basic Imp IPA. Not outstanding but happy to get it while in SD, and had quite a few. Touch of apple fruit in the just into full bodied, light to medium roasted malt mix. Decent, fresh hop flavor & bitterness. Nice clean taste. Alcohol very well integrated.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle. Bought in CO, drank within a week of purchase. Served in a Duvel tulip right out of the beer fridge. Hay colored with a finger high off-white head. Aroma is strong, in a way, but muted at the same time. Maybe it is the lack of huge citrus or pine and instead an aroma of sweet onions and to a lesser extent, tropical fruits, including coconut. Taste is wildflower honey, citrus and tropical fruit, and some earthiness, almost an onion skin flavor. Hop bitterness is apparent, but seemingly not as much as their West Coast IPA. Nice mouthfeel, full at first with a lingering, moderate bitterness. I have been wanting to drink a beer made with a large percentage of Summit hops, so I can see what they are about and this beer accomplishes that.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Mmmm. Do I smell liquid weed fromt his hippie-infused DIPA? There is definately a strong herbal aroma punching up through the righteous alphalfa layer of hops. Tasty, tasty and more tasty. What we have gentlemen (and beer-geeky women of course, who are always the hottest girls out there) is a voluminous amount of grassy, resinous, piney hops that oh-so-gracefully sheath a toffee-rich malt saber of beer awesomeness. Really, this a fantastic, uniquely constructed "San Diego" style IPA that loves what it is and struts itís stuff like a fabulously confident transvesdite. Good stuff dear Green Flash. Now if you would just start brewing the Reaper beers again...
