Sep 28, 2008 Really good stuff. Pours amber with a small lacing foamy head. Aroma is very grassy hops. Flavor stings with hops, and finishes smooth with a citrus and malt flavor, very nice for a hop head.

Sep 25, 2008 (bottle): Pours a clear honey-red body, frothy white head, good lacing & lasting. Grapefruity, bitter aroma. Hoppy bitter taste, real bitter, dry. Like sticking your face in horsefeed. Rougher as it warms up.

A fabulous example of the West Coast imperial IPA style this one was actually not as much of a hop bomb as I was expecting. I find that a good thing; it lets other aspects shine through instead of be dominated.
Aroma / Appearance - The copper transparent body is engulfed by a pillowy soft white head. Clear lines of lacing give it life as it settles. The aroma of fresh rose petals melds with oranges and a hint of malt to form a near perfect combination for my nose.
Flavor / Palate - Creamy caramel hits the tongue first followed by orange and chocolate. Lodged in the back on the tongue the bitterness takes root as it settles in the throat. Mellow and drinkable for the style I would not mind having this again - it’s a good thing that I can now buy it locally.

Sep 23, 2008 Great hop lineup. Has all the compoents of a Hop-Heavy-Hitter with the big malt body to back it up. Very resiny and piney with a strong floral essence. Nice.

Sep 22, 2008 kicking hops that deliver throughout, a bit of a fruity flavor. great example of the West Coast IPA. thick for an IPA, almost looks like a wheat beer, I couldn’t see through the glass.

Sep 19, 2008 Bottle at home with mesandsim. Alround rating: Toffee malts, caramalt, citrus, pine, very good amount of bitterness. Very easy drinking stuff.

Sep 10, 2008 Who opened the baggie of Skunk Bud while I’m drinking my beer? Great color, dense head that drops to tenacious lace. The combination of hops in this brew smells remarkably of California’s number one agricultural product. Tasty, sharp, fruity, light, sticky on the back of the throat, and made my head feel good by the bottom of the 22 oz bottle. Bartender, I’ll have another.
