| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 13, 2009 Appearance: Pours up moderately hazy, deep copper hued body with a full inch of off-white froth on top.
Smell: Chilled grapefruit juices garnished with slivers of citrus pith and shredded flowers paired with a modest hint of pine astride pale malts displaying hints of sugar cookies. It’s a quality scent.
Taste: Pale malts liberally flecked with sweet hints of cookie dough and biscuit crumbs. Medium sweetness overall. The mixture of fully American C-hops presents leafy floral and light pines tastes, as well as a bold citrus character that’s juicy, fruity, and a bit citric. Medium-high bitterness. Finishes dry and bitter with those citric tones brazenly sliding into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is a bit oily, a bit chewy, even.
Drinkability: Green Flash’s West Coast IPA is amply malty and rather well hopped, so it should please hopheads and lovers of IPA’s. I know I found it to be enjoyable. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 9, 2009 Bottle. Pour is cloudy copper with smallish white head. Aroma is huge hop. Pine, grapefruit, guava, dandelion, and a light malt background. Definitely a hop feature. Flavor is a touch bitter up front with a nice mellowing middle to lingering pine, grapefruit, and resin hop. Pretty crisp finish with a small amount of lingering bitterness. Very easy to drink. Solid but not too crazy. arondee (176), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Pours a honey yellow, orange with a small white head. Aroma is "weed", grass, and citrus. Taste is strong hops but not overly bitter, a little bit of sweetness, and lots of grapefruit. Alcohol is well hidden for 9.4%. I’m a huge hop head but I’m not really a fan of this beer. It seriously tastes and smells exactly like weed. tennessejed420 (75), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 5, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Pours amber gold with nice lingering white head. Aroma citrus hops, clementine, grapefruit, resiny. A sharp hoppy bitter bite with a bitter lingering finish. Grapefruit very prominent. Undoubtedly excellent, but if you really think about it it almost tastes too much like ruby red grapefruit juice. Definitely very nice but not a personal favorite for the style.
