Hops dominate but the malty backbone balances it out. Everything is balanced and just plain great. KnN (720), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 15, 2008 pours a beautiful almost neon orange with a thin long-lasting white head. The aroma of this beer is almost pure pine-type hops.
The flavor is bitter pine but there’s a hint of sweetness playing around the edges which is nice. You can kind of tell it’s a 9% beer, but the alcohol tint isn’t distracting at all. This is a nice Imperial IPA. MesandSim (5807), London, Greater London, England

Amazing bright orange, very hazy with a thin but stable white head. Superb piney and resinous hoppage all round with the expected sugary malt. Gorgeous bitterness, lovely and dry and just really nicely ballanced all round. Slight ethanol like boozy notes. Tasty as hell and just what I needed right now. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 13, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a hazy, golden-orange color; creamy, significant light-tan head with great retention and lacing that coats the glass; very nice pour. Loads of juicy, resiny citrus and earthy hops in the aroma; very hop-forward and fresh; lemon zest, minerals, and lime; slight candy sugar / earthy core. Lively carbonation. Chewy candy sugar maltiness and zesty, spicy hops in a medium-to-full mouthfeel: very spicy, earthy, and citrus-laden hop character; mildest astringency and plenty of bitterness; very bitter, intensely hopped, mildly rough-edged double IPA; quite enjoyable overall; minimal touches of alcoholic warmth coming through. Lengthy finish: lots of spicy / citrus hops, earthy malts in the background, and plenty of lingering, chewy bitterness. TURDFERGUSON (1598), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

I half expected this to be like every other green flash beer I have had recently and have a strong bitter metalic flavor. It did not, thank god. Lots of flowery and citrus hops abound the nose and palate. Very well done double ipa and much better than I remember it. Tasty. Miksu (2218), Jyväskylä, Finland

Strong flowery and lemony hops with some grassy dry hop notes. Bittersweet flavor with honey, flowery, lemony and black curranty hops. Incredibly smooth and drinkable allthough very hoppy. It pours a very hazy unfiltered sunshine sunset hue that has a three finger head that sticks around for a good while, leaves me beautiful lattice work, just magnefisent. The flavor is of much pine and a little citrus. Just the right amount of malts in the back just a little sweet. But this ones about the hops!. (Which I love) One of my favorite DIPAs by far. Can’t go wrong with Green Flash. Thanks Brewers!
