TURDFERGUSON (1594), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle from my secret santa. Thanks! I half expected this to be like every other green flash beer I have had recently and have a strong bitter metalic flavor. It did not, thank god. Lots of flowery and citrus hops abound the nose and palate. Very well done double ipa and much better than I remember it. Tasty. Miksu (2187), Jyväskylä, Finland Aug 13, 2008 0.66 l bottle at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Clear golden color with small creamy head. Strong flowery and lemony hops with some grassy dry hop notes. Bittersweet flavor with honey, flowery, lemony and black curranty hops. Incredibly smooth and drinkable allthough very hoppy. Excellent! hoplover (166), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Aug 12, 2008 This beer smells great... like... orange ... prunes....pinnaples... piney. Wow! It pours a very hazy unfiltered sunshine sunset hue that has a three finger head that sticks around for a good while, leaves me beautiful lattice work, just magnefisent. The flavor is of much pine and a little citrus. Just the right amount of malts in the back just a little sweet. But this ones about the hops!. (Which I love) One of my favorite DIPAs by far. Can’t go wrong with Green Flash. Thanks Brewers!
THe Lord bless the hop harvest. tomthompson89 (1456), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 12, 2008 big carbonation, odd nose, we actually kinda got peperoni???? but that didn’t effect the flavor. Pine hops, malt is smooth and balanced very drinkable!! earthy finish. puggy211 (576), cordova, Tennessee, USA Aug 11, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange tinged gold, with a dense two finger head that fades slowly to a thick cap. The resulting lace is very sticky, leaving a solid sheet on the interior of the glass. Smell; lots of citrus with grapefruit and orange peels. There’s a mild hint of some sweet malts, but this one is definitely all about the citric hops. Taste; the grapefruit and oranges really stand out, and there’s also a touch of lemons in there as well. The malts are more noticable in the flavor than they were in the aroma, with a little caramel and biscuits, and there’s a little bit of an alcohol spiciness in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a bit of a biting carbonation, and the drinkability is good. tdaglow (41), Minnesota, USA Aug 9, 2008 The aroma almost kills the experience. A little more pine than I care for. The appearance is everything an IIPA should be. The palate is all PINE!!!! This is as close to shoving a christmas tree in your mouth as it comes. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 8, 2008 Thanks to Juancho. Drank it in Panajachel, Guatemala. A bit disappointed, although great. Pours an orange/cloudy color with a good white head. Aromas of pine and citrus. Medium bodied, very dry, lacks complexity in flavors, I like my IIPAS a bit more sweeter. RSRIZZO (1344), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Aug 7, 2008 Aroma is a fresh hop scent. Color is a bright golden with good carbonation and a thick tight head. Taste is rich and hoppy. Starting with a full body it goes down with a bold rich feel. Finish comes in malty sweet then a bold hop flavor and bitterness with just a hint of citrus. After taste is a little more citrus and a gentle lingering bitterness. This is a great Imperial IPA, its bold, hoppy and there’s just the right amount of citrus.
