Smells of hops, pine, and old wet grass. A contrived balance of very bitter and very caramely. Light body with very mild carbonation. Extremely dry and rather astringent finish. I thoroughly appreciate many IPAs but this is a bit over the top hopped. kidmartinek (975), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2008 A yellowish amber pour, lightly cloudy, with 3/4 glass thick off-white foam that takes 5 minutes to settle. Strong cascade floral hop aroma. So hoppy, almost pungunt. Flavor is strong and extremely bitter and lasts on the back of the tongue. Its so bitter it bites your and seems spicy, but i think its just the hops. Its remarkaly smooth for all the hop bite. This must be the hoppinest beer i’ve had. Finish is so bitter it makes you pucker. thickfreakness (130), AUSTIN, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Poured this really fresh one into an imperial pint glass. It pours a bright, clear golden color with a fluffy white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Smells extremely dank, grassy, and piney. Taste is tons of dank pine up front with a a huge bitter and slightly alcoholic finish. Very dry, which leaves the bitterness lingering on the tongue. Nice Imperial IPA but not up there with the Plinys and Dreadnaughts of the world. lassem (304), Copenhagen, Denmark

Clear golden body with a white fading head. The nose is very hoppy with notes of butter, fresh-cutted grass and elder flower. The taste is very dry and hoppy with sweet grapefruit notes. It is a bit perfumish with a hoppiness that are not overdominating. The palate is fresh and oily with a bitterness in the back roof of the mouth.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Sample @ the brewery. Pours a cloudy golden-orange with a frothy white head. Aroma is heavy citrus hops. Taste is the same, with heavy citrus notes balanced by hop bitterness and a surprising smoothness for the style. More low-key than many IIPA’s, but very very nice. wcampbell (576), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Good. Not as strong tasting as some other double IPAs, but more drinkable. Alcohol taste is completely covered up by the hops. Lightly bitter grapefruit flavor dominates the taste. Pretty thick and full bodied. bp (455), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
