Commercial Description:
"San Diego-style IPA, as it has come to be known by many, is a super-hoppy, high gravity, yet highly quaffable ale. Green Flash Imperial IPA is created in this new tradition, with intense hop flavors and aromas from a unique blend of Summit and Nugget hops. It’s all about the hops!" -- Brewmaster Chuck Silva

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops mostly with some caramel and a slight hint of alcohol. Flavor is bitter with the citrus and pine hops right away. Sweet malts in the middle and a bitter, slightly warm finish.

Thanks to Timmy300 for this one. Reminds me a lot of Hop Slam for some reason. A bit sweet and definitely hop, though no hop bomb in terms of bitterness. Very smooth and drinkable. Pour is nice golden yellow with a fluffy head. Nice beer that I’m glad to see is in Illinois these days.

Pours a light orange with pretty good clarity. Two finger head with moderate white lacing. Nose- most spicy hops I’ve had the pleasure of smelling. Herbal, pine, very pungent. Taste- caramel sweetness quickly offset by citric bitterness that follows through to the finish. Grapefruit and high alpha acide good times here. Carbonation is moderate and no booze is detected. Likely masked by overwhelming bitterness. Mouth drys out quickly with worth every drop.

Bottled. Golden coloured. Unclear. Off white dense head. Herbs, pine, flowers, citrus and some sugar and caramel in aroma and flavour. Quite intense and rather balanced for a IIPA. Medium to full bodied. Very dry. Is immensly bitter, but not overwhelming due to some sugary sweetness. Nice.

Bottle from River’s Bend. Pours a clear copper color with an average rocky off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Heavy hoppy citrus aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy hoppy bitter flavor with a good bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Very good brew.

Nice copper pour. Piney hops totally there, grapefruit. Softer vanilla, caramel and sugary flavors dance with the sharp citrusy hops. Sweeter thinner body with decent amount of balance. Nice.

(Bottled, 0.66l) Very hazy golden with a medium, frothy and lacy head. Soft aroma with lemony-aromatic hops and pale malt. Flavor of grainy malt, alcohol, some berries, and somewhat stingy hops. Medium-bodied, bitter and soft-carbonated palate. A double IPA with pronounced bitterness and alcohol - but not that well balanced.

Pours copper with off-white head. Aroma with tons of great grapefruit, lemon, and orange hops melded well with caramel. Flavor contains a nice sweet caramel-citrus beginning, with the caramel lasting throughout, finishing with some unique spiciness. Great bitterness as well, and a nice long, dry finish.
