NoiZe (1288), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Jun 13, 2008 Orange colored brew. Very nice hoppy aroma, barnyard. Grapefruit in aroma and flavor. Nice hopbitterness. Hoppy and spicy. Nice. Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA Jun 12, 2008 Pours a nice gold with white head. Aroma is of sweet malt, spices, and light hops. Mouthfeel is medium. Tastes is of earthy hops, spices, and sweei malt. Finish is very earthy and full of hops. caesar (3020), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Jun 11, 2008 Bottled, bought in Vejle. Clear orange color, short head. Hoppy aroma, pine, hint of grapefruit. In your face bitterness with a malty background. Straightforward. Darkover (1308), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 11, 2008 Copper color with a big beige head. Aroma of resinous hops. Flavor is also of strong resinous hops. ok. Rogueone (506), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA Jun 10, 2008 Bottle: This is dank. Smells like earthy, green dope. Pours a pale golden orange. This is basically attempting Stone Ruination but not nearly as full of flavor. Glouglouburp (2778), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 9, 2008 In short: Lots of hops but too little malt and too much alcohol. A simplistic palette destroyer.
How: Bottle 220z, fresh. From kmweaver, thanks a lot Ken!!
The look: Clear golden body with a medium off-white head
In long: Hoppy nose with an equal parts of pineapples, grapefruits and citrus fruits. Taste is disappointing. The frail body is not enough for all the alcohol. 9% ends up feeling like 11%. Total lack of malts. Alcohol burns the throat and totally kills the hops flavour. It the end it was alcohol, some candy sugar followed by a short and sharp flavourless bitterness and alcohol bite. Some papery notes. I struggled to finish my 22oz. This beer is as boring and brutal as a stuttering uneducated drunk sailor. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jun 8, 2008 Updated: Aug 28, 20092009-08-24, 8-4-8-5-16=41 Hazy deep blond color. Fruity hop beer, apricot jam and oranges. Good caramel and toffee flavor, resiny and fruity hops, bitter oranges. Strong final, getting a bit astringent.
2008-04-04, bottle at Ølbaren, Copenhagen, 8-4-8-5-16=41 Hazy golden color; big head. Very nice and quite original aroma, hoppy, earthy, with manure. Toffee flavor, and similar hop impact (manure...) some sweetness too. Very good, but tonight, compared side to side to the Ballast Point Dorado, it can’t win. Nephilium (541), Ohio, USA Jun 7, 2008 Huge overpowering hoppy aroma (mainly citrus notes). Pours a clear amber with a huge fluffy white head. A touch of sweetness in the beginning, but it’s overpowered by a strong astringent hop flavor. Not quite as over the top as some IIPA’s, but really drinkable.
