Commercial Description:
"San Diego-style IPA, as it has come to be known by many, is a super-hoppy, high gravity, yet highly quaffable ale. Green Flash Imperial IPA is created in this new tradition, with intense hop flavors and aromas from a unique blend of Summit and Nugget hops. It’s all about the hops!" -- Brewmaster Chuck Silva

pale orange, paler than expected. smells piney. flavor is sticky on the tongue, very hoppy throughout. very resinous. has a really unique flavor profile, sort of spicy, citrusy and grassy in a weird way. malt backing enough to be noticeable but obviously overpowered by the hops. very unique and enjoyable, not just the same old same old.

22 oz bottle poured a golden color pushing orange. The overwhelming hop aroma was citrus orange, grapefruit, and lime. Nice head that laced around the glass nicely. Hop bitterness matches aroma with a bit of grassiness. Breadlike malt supports the weight of the hops. A bit of residual sweetness remains with honey notes appear. A bit of bitterness remains after the swallow. Nice west coast IPA.

Bomber. Clear amber with a frothy white head, leaving spotty lacing. Beautiful tropical fruit hop aroma--pineapple, mango, passionfruit--also tangerine and peach. Big resiny and grapefruit hop flavors infuse a clean and submissive malt body. The resin quality of the hops is pure tasting, not sticky or overly woody. Not overly astringent either, just tingly and lasting. Fine carbonation. Beautiful 2IPA. I’m thinking of building an altar to San Diego area IPAs. Please keep them coming.

Poured a golden color and you could smell the hops right out of the bottle. This is the best IPA i’ve had yet. Tasted a bitter citrus on the palate, but no bitter aftertaste. Surprisingly smooth finish.

Imperial IPA carries a connotation of it’s own. Even still, this one hit my tongue with a ton of bitter grapefruits with no aftertaste. Normally, a beer with bitter hops lacks control, but this one was impressive.

Bottle. [thanks to Øster]
Pours a lightly hazy golden-yellow with a great, yellowish creamy small head. Good lacing. Aroma is wonderfully fruity, strawberries, light doughy and pilsner malt as well as a good dose of hops (naturally). Lively mouthfeel, but still rather creamy. Begins of rather mild with a good fruity hoppiness. Then some light caramel and pilsner maltiness. The finish is extremely bitter, lots of powerful hops. Wonderful for a hophead, a bit sharp, but I really like it.

Bottle. Pale deep golden. Fruity piney bit sweet aroma. Dry fruity pine aroma with some sweetness. Long lasting dry fruity flavour with caramel, pine and some citrus and a good dry fruity hoppiness in the finish. Thanks to the thewolf.

75 cL bottle, thanks to thewolf. Pours hazy orange with a dense white head. Mild pine and grapefruity aroma. Flavour starts with a sweet caramel with a nice fruity note before a solid bitterness is building up along nice sweet notes towards the finish. Nice.
