This is a fantastic IPA with a great complexity of hop flavors and aromas; lemons, grapefruit, wet grass, and hay all present. Some caramel malt sweetnes for balance. A little less alcohol and I think this would be outstanding. But its still damn good as it is. Excellent brew. ajm (917), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 10, 2009 Tap at Pap. Aroma of sweet, grassy, clean hops - more sharp than bitter. Flavor is the same, with cream and sugar balancing the sharp hoppage. Very refreshing, very enjoyable. A true West Coast dubs and the rare Green Flash beer that I love. josephselander (42), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 9, 2009 Appearance - Pours a dark, cloudy, copper orange color with about a 2 finger head. Beautiful looking DIPA, can’t wait to taste it!
Smell - MMMM, this smells like pine needles stuck in grapefruit! Very citrusy and piney. This apparently has the kind of hops that I absolutely love. The smell reminds me of a HotD Blue Dot.
Taste - Wow, tastes like a HotD Blue Dot. Has a nice hop kick to it that contains the pine and citrus the smell held. This is very heavy on the pine taste.
Mouthfeel - Feels good, like resin slipping through my mouth. Its not too thick feeling, which is perfect for a DIPA.
Drinkability - I could easily drink a couple of these, especially on a hot and sunny day like today (well, it was sunny at least). Definitely one of the more drinkable DIPA’s I have ever had. tokyogoat (507), San Diego, California, USA

Pours a pale yellow with an orange haze. Very lucid, huge fluffy head, not great lacing, but thats ok. Glass was still a tad damp.
Smells of bright hops, slight pine, slight citrus.
Tastes is outstanding. Hops are balanced. Nopt too piney, but still delivers on the front with that aroma, and on the back with some nice bitter hops. CheersMate1 (787), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 3, 2009 Ridiculous hop aroma. Smells like I am about ready to brew a batch of beer and just smelling the whole
hops fresh! Very fresh aromatic aroma. Nice haze orange color that is very impressive. Very nice hop flavor. Nice
smooth hop flavor. Very much a sharp hop flavor that is a little subdued. I think this beer feels like it should
be a lot more bitter than it is, but it still is very bitter. I don’t know if that makes sense, but oh well. The hop
flavors just swim around in your mouth. Very good beer. Nice bittering hop that allows the beer to linger around.
Nice smooth beer that just leaves a great hop flavor in your mouth; cheers!

Damn fine IPA that’s all I have to say, meets all the specs for a good IPA. No need to get into the semantics of beer ratings on this one. Bravo Green Flash! Definitely worth seeking out! zizzybalubba (358), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 28, 2009 22 oz. bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Pours golden orange with a thick white head. Aroma of grapefruit, clean pine, and citrus hops. Beautiful blend of bright hop flavor blended with just the right sweetness. San Diego does it again; a near perfect DIPA. manuchampions (103), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 24, 2009 22oz bottle. Appropriate that I sampled this in Vancouver a couple of days after Pot Day. The most Mary-Jane smelling IPA I’ve yet to encounter. Very piney, funky hop taste with some citrus notes. Sticks to your tongue in a pleasing way. Long finish. How can one company make such different and yet fantastic IPA’s? One happy conundrum to ponder.
