Commercial Description:
"San Diego-style IPA, as it has come to be known by many, is a super-hoppy, high gravity, yet highly quaffable ale. Green Flash Imperial IPA is created in this new tradition, with intense hop flavors and aromas from a unique blend of Summit and Nugget hops. It’s all about the hops!" -- Brewmaster Chuck Silva

Ridiculous hop aroma. Smells like I am about ready to brew a batch of beer and just smelling the whole hops fresh! Very fresh aromatic aroma. Nice haze orange color that is very impressive. Very nice hop flavor. Nice smooth hop flavor. Very much a sharp hop flavor that is a little subdued. I think this beer feels like it should be a lot more bitter than it is, but it still is very bitter. I don’t know if that makes sense, but oh well. The hop flavors just swim around in your mouth. Very good beer. Nice bittering hop that allows the beer to linger around. Nice smooth beer that just leaves a great hop flavor in your mouth; cheers!

Butters, your my hero. Thanks for introducing me to the Green Flash. Damn fine IPA that’s all I have to say, meets all the specs for a good IPA. No need to get into the semantics of beer ratings on this one. Bravo Green Flash! Definitely worth seeking out!

22 oz. bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Pours golden orange with a thick white head. Aroma of grapefruit, clean pine, and citrus hops. Beautiful blend of bright hop flavor blended with just the right sweetness. San Diego does it again; a near perfect DIPA.

22oz bottle. Appropriate that I sampled this in Vancouver a couple of days after Pot Day. The most Mary-Jane smelling IPA I’ve yet to encounter. Very piney, funky hop taste with some citrus notes. Sticks to your tongue in a pleasing way. Long finish. How can one company make such different and yet fantastic IPA’s? One happy conundrum to ponder.

This is one super skunky beer. I prefer their West Coast IPA which I think is really a double IPA. The Imperial is good but I don’t care for the variety or combination of hops used. It doesn’t have the sweet notes that I enjoy. I have tried this a few times and sometimes when you try a really strong beer you think something might be off with the beer but this beer is consistent in aroma and flavor. Better as it warms up and flavors blossom. Sticky like Def Leppard from head to foot.

Bottle Pours a hazy golden with a good lasting white head. Thead laces very well. Has a good floral hoppy aroma. Aroma is all about the hops. The flavor is awesome hoppiness. Great amount of bitter. Has a good carbination and a nice mouthfeel. Has a real good flavor of hops. The hoppiness dance on your tongue. Has a good strong finish. The alcohol is well hidden. This is a wonderful IPA. I would grab these any chance I get.
