COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"San Diego-style IPA, as it has come to be known by many, is a super-hoppy, high gravity, yet highly quaffable ale. Green Flash Imperial IPA is created in this new tradition, with intense hop flavors and aromas from a unique blend of Summit and Nugget hops. It’s all about the hops!" -- Brewmaster Chuck Silva

This was one of the best IPA’s ive ever had. Super floral aroma with a rich malty backbone, overall impressive.

Somewhat dank orange citrus flavor to this one, has an odd smell to it that I can't put my finger on. The taste is very good though - very bitter and hoppy. Poured from 22oz bottle to maudite glass. Great beer overall, just didn't love smell

22oz bottle. clear gold with a small, whipped white head. sweet, candy-like, tropical, citrus, juicy fruit gum aroma. flavor has notes of sweet tangerine, candy notes, citrus and yellow juicy fruit gum. easy to drink, light palate with no abv presence. great 2ipa! good nugget hops.

Pours amber with off-white head. Very clear. Aroma is citrus, onion, garlic, earth. Flavour is toffee, cocktail onion. Nice hoppy sweetness on the finish. I couldn’t drink any more of this. Apparently I’m not a fan of Summit.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2013 Medium body. Pine, citrus, mild cat urine nose. Balanced tropical, citrusy hops. Malts not overpowering or syrupy. Nice piney, lemon rind finish. Great imperial ipa!

A - 2 fingers of off-white yellowish head creates deep mounds and sticky lacing. Light amber color. S - A mix of oily citrus, skunky herbal, and earthy hops. A candy sweet malt sits shyly on the back row. T - A nutty, earthy, tangerine citrus hops blast a whirlwind of flavor. Leafy herbal flavors sweep in and turns the flavor on a dime. The caramel malt hold up good and a white sugar sweetness adds to contend with the hops. Finish is dry and biscuty. M - Awesome mouthfeel! Starts sudsy creamy then goes thick and silky. The Summit and Nugget hops definatly add a different twist to the hop profile. Don’t know how fresh this was but it didn’t seem like 101 ibu’s. A fine herbal DIPA. Serving type: bottle 02-24-2011

Pours golden light copper with bright white head. Aroma of malt and piney resin; flavours of mango, clementine, spice, dank resin, solid malt; smooth with bitter finish. Nice medium bodied mouthfeel. Well done!

Aroma starts out like it’s all about the citrus and sunshine, suddenly the sun is blotted out and dank, dark green forest floor aromas waft past your nose, the clouds roll away and the sunny citrus reappears. Repeat ad infinitum, or until your bottle is finished, whichever comes first. For me, the empty bottle came first. A little rough in the finish, but when you’re punching in this weight range we can’t expect all butterflies and rainbows, can we.

650mL bottle. Pours hazy orange-gold with a small white head that leaves some lacing. Lots of fruit! Passionfruit and citrus dominate the aroma, some yeast, honey, a little malt and some toast. The bitterness is high but tempered by the malt, and it’s also fairly sweet. This bottle’s been sitting around for a while but the flavours are still quite "fresh". Medium body, soft carbonation, quite creamy with a lingering finish.

Poured into a snifter from bomber, clear light orange, subtle nose but what there is is nice...touch of grass and subtle hops. Hides ABV well, quite chuggable and delicious. Price was nice too. I approve.
