Commercial Description:
"San Diego-style IPA, as it has come to be known by many, is a super-hoppy, high gravity, yet highly quaffable ale. Green Flash Imperial IPA is created in this new tradition, with intense hop flavors and aromas from a unique blend of Summit and Nugget hops. It’s all about the hops!" -- Brewmaster Chuck Silva

Bomber courtesy of Joey at South Bay! Definitely the best beer I’ve had from Green Flash. A big, bad-ass SoCal DIPA, this one is very piney and peppery, almost too much so at the expense of more floral or softer characteristics. But if it’s a bit more one-dimensional than I’d ultimately like, it’s damn sure another winner from the home of American IPAs!

great amount of hop flavor with all the right points to make this a great DIPA. the malts are pretty good but well enough on its own, the hops are flavorful through the entire beer, with deep piny flavor. works well

Bottled: Pours orange with a creamy mid sized head. Fruity pine apple and lychee aroma. Flavour is fruity pine apple and a little bit of liquorice, but only for a short while, after that it is all about resiny, piney hops; love it!

Bottle. Hazy gold/orange, fluffy white head. Nose is big citrus - grapefruit, pine, mint, toffee & a hint of sugar. Flavor is citrus, surprisingly malty, pine needles, orange rind. Finish shows toffee, long lasting citrus, minty pine.

Pours a clear light amber with an off-white head and nice lacings. Quite bitter with strong aromas of piny hops. Tiny hints of plantsap. Medium to full bodied. Medium to low carbonation. Hoppy resiny finish.

Pours a hazy yellow with some amber hues. Foamy off white head. Looks real nice. Super nose of sweat onion (typical from Sumimit hops and light pine background. really that’s about it, but it is surely enough. The flavor is not quite where I’d like it. The oniony Summit hops are there and taste very good, but I prefer things a bit more on the aggressive side. Medium body with and oily mouthfeel. Average carbonation with a sweet malt finish and a cutting bitterness. Really a fine beer.

Clear amber body with medium sized off-white head. The aroma is sweet caramel, grapefruit, herbal and catty. The flavor is moderately sweet, caramel, toffee, tea, citrus, pine and floral. Medium body, fairly lifeless body.
