A big, bad-ass SoCal DIPA, this one is very piney and peppery, almost too much so at the expense of more floral or softer characteristics. But if it’s a bit more one-dimensional than I’d ultimately like, it’s damn sure another winner from the home of American IPAs! Palidor19 (1798), Brandon, Florida, USA

Flavour is fruity pine apple and a little bit of liquorice, but only for a short while, after that it is all about resiny, piney hops; love it! rudolf (1789), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 7, 2008 Pours a hazy yellow with some amber hues. Foamy off white head. Looks real nice. Super nose of sweat onion (typical from Sumimit hops and light pine background. really that’s about it, but it is surely enough. The flavor is not quite where I’d like it. The oniony Summit hops are there and taste very good, but I prefer things a bit more on the aggressive side. Medium body with and oily mouthfeel. Average carbonation with a sweet malt finish and a cutting bitterness. Really a fine beer. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
