Beer_Hawk (767), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Feb 5, 2007 Thanks to illinismitty for sharing this bottle with us at the Nashville Tasting! Poured an amber color with an off white head. Big pine aromas that reminded me of being in upstate NY for Christmas with all the fresh cut pine bows. The flavor found pine, apricot, and a slight earthiness. Moderate sweetness up front with a mild bitter ending. Medium body and smooth. Real nice IIPA!!
msante79 (284), Illinois, USA Oct 15, 2008 Thanks to kegbear for this bomber. Pours bright yellow orange with white head. Aroma is grassy and floral hops, grapefruit, and sweet malt. Flavor is very hoppy with huge dose of grapefruit citrus with some sweet malt. Finishes sweet and bitter. A very good IIPA. chimp_lechamp (378), freehold, New Jersey, USA Oct 15, 2008 bottle- thanks to jeremy- pours orange cloudy small yellowish head, nose is grapefruit, tastes incredibly grapefruit rind with a long bitter finish. sweet malty balances this flavour. quite juicy. not the best double ipa, but better than most. edmajorjoe (55), Vail, Arizona, USA Oct 12, 2008 Very hoppy. It has taste and palate that is very memorable. Smells just like it tastes. A great pour. Head remains on glass as you consume. jcr (853), Jasper, Indiana, USA Oct 11, 2008 Bottle. Straightforward double IPA with little depth. Light orange body. Thick, frothy, white head that diminishes. The aroma is mostly hoppy with notes of resin and rubber. Hints of toasted grain and bread dough. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic and moderately to heavily bitter. Medium to full body, smooth texture, sticky finish. Alcohol comes forward in the finish as the sweetness diminishes and the bitterness sticks around. Moderately acidic in the finish as well. xpimptastikx (27), Austin, Texas, USA Oct 9, 2008 Pour - a light amber, yellow when put up to light. Smell - Floral, piney, and lightly of oranges. Taste - Bitter, creamy, and slightly of oranges. I’ll be trying more of Green Flash’s line-up.
