Green Flash makes some delightful brews and this is no exception. This big daddy IPA has lots of spritzy hop pizzazz that few match...similar to a Moylan’s Hopsicle and that’s a compliment. Truly a beauty amongst the many west coast double IPAs in overall malt-hop balance and a truly delightful flavor. bigrond (1055), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

Intense hoppieness that doesn’t dry you out. Pours yellow with crazy carbonation factor 5. Smells of hops with hops added. Tastes like a liquid pine tree meets hop flavored bubbilicious. fluids (364), USA

Nose is a pungent aroma ketchup and yellow onions (yup that’s the best way I can describe it.) Beautiful orange tinge on color. Exceptionally dry on the palate. Flavor is to me onions infused with grapefruit and oranges with slight malt to temper the intense dryness of the hops. Very unique and utterly over the top. Dry grapefruit chewing rind finish. Fresh grapefruit aroma straight off the Florida highway. Flavor is orange zest and grapefruit. Delicious. Can you say bitter. Love this. mlist55 (210), media, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 23, 2007 Clear amber appearance with a large, off white head and good lacing. Resinous hop aroma with a herbal edge. Flavor is full of citrusy hops but there is enough of a malt backbone to add balance. Hops dominate the aftertaste, though, and linger through the bitter, long lasting finish.

Very astringent. Nice and sticky like a hop monster should be! If you are trying Green Flash, here’s your starting and finishing Line. It pours with less of a head than I’d like but boasts a creamy texture just short of divine. The hops are less complex than some other DIPA craft beers, but the intensity of Summit hops is like a brick to the face. A wonderfully aromatic and delicious brick to the face, that is.
