"San Diego-style IPA, as it has come to be known by many, is a super-hoppy, high gravity, yet highly quaffable ale. Green Flash Imperial IPA is created in this new tradition, with intense hop flavors and aromas from a unique blend of Summit and Nugget hops. It’s all about the hops!" -- Brewmaster Chuck Silva

Poured from the bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a hazy light straw-amber color with a good-sized, foamy white head with good retention, along with great cling and lacing. The aroma featured notes of citrus, pine, spices, and a nice floral component as well, with slight touches of candy and sugar. Its taste was mostly bitter with a grainy-citrus flavor, but it also had a slight sugary sweetness at first, and a slight sour effect at the end. The beer was lively and fizzy with average carbonation, and a quite dry but fairly full mouthfeel.
