On tap @ Radio Maria in Champaign. Autumn orange color with frothy head and lacing. Floral and citrus aroma; nothing stood out but did smell good. Flavor very hoppy and bitter, resiny and piny. I liked the overall texture and flavor, but the finish left an annoying residue on my palate. Good IIPA, but was not a huge fan of the finish.

Clear golden color, white head. Strong hoppy scent, some green peppers. Hoppy, bitter, citrus taste. Bitter aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, high bitterness.

Jul 5, 2008 Bomber: A nice medium golden with toned down hops from the hop head red. Hops are infused more into the body and extend longer thru the mouthfeel. This sucker went down fast and smooth for a 9%er. The bomber left me feeling wobbly and content with life. If that is not high praise, I’m uncertain what is.

First Impression: deep, smoky aroma and a simple gold body with a white head. Aroma is smoke, hops, and some funk. Visuals are a gold body with a persistent white head with very intricate lacing. Taste is a roller coaster - a bit metallic, somewhat mechanical, deeply hoppy, and lacking balance, which I don’t mind. Palate is sharply bitter with a smoky sourness. Long dark, deep finish. Rich. Second Impression - a very special IIPA, in that it imparts a sausagey flavor to the hoppy bitterness, and avoids the cloying answer to the bitterness and preserves the bitter crunch nicely. A great buy for such a very uniquely treated co-style.
