COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"San Diego-style IPA, as it has come to be known by many, is a super-hoppy, high gravity, yet highly quaffable ale. Green Flash Imperial IPA is created in this new tradition, with intense hop flavors and aromas from a unique blend of Summit and Nugget hops. Itís all about the hops!" -- Brewmaster Chuck Silva

This pours and laces well. A good consistent head. I love the soft pineconne and citrus hop aroma that comes through. A thick mouthfeel and the flavour of malt and hop dominates but for a slightly ferric/curic aftertaste. This is a slight detraction from an otherwise fine beer, my first for the Aussie winter.

Pour from bottle in San Antonio Texas. Tiny head but attractive orange hue. Hoppy kick with a complex delicious palate. Awesome. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An orange-amber pour into the glass, with a minimal head that leaves trace lacing. The nose is of caramel, citrus and spruce. Flavors are bold, with lots of orange, pine, and slathering bitter peppering hops to finish. Full-bodied and a bit boozy, but oily on the palate, this goes down slick as a great nightcap. Great stuff!

I wasnít an IPA guy until recently but this is outstanding. Some try too hard and over hop but the aroma and balance in this San Diego blend is a new bench mark for me.

Bottle to plastic cup (Iíll try not to let that affect my rating). Aroma of grapefruit, something akin to malt, but perhaps a bit fruitier, cherry, spruce, and peach. Clear light amber with a long lasting thin, creamy, off white head. Taste is very tropical fruity, with pepper, grapefruit, some red pepper, a touch of chili, and a whole whack of bitterness. All that fruitiness balances the huge hoppiness quite well.

Bottle; orange with small beige head; aroma-grapefruit, pine, pepper; taste- mild sweetness, heavy bitterness, full body. Not their best but very good

Bomber pours a hazy golden orange with one-fingr white head and some lacing. Aroma it that of the usual suspects for a DIPA: lots of grapefruit and pine resin, Taste is bitter with lots of caramel sweetness in the middle, and definite dankness in the finish, at least until it warms up a while. Body is full, with a sticky mouthfeel. This one exceeded my expectations.
