oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland Jun 7, 2009 bottled@Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Golden colour, small beige head. Aroma is hops, quite much Belgian tripel with fruity and lots of sweet fruityness. Flavour is at first veyr typical fruity and yeasty Belgian tripel with a big kicking grassy, flowery and fruity kick in the sftertaste. Very pleasant stuff. jeremytoni (1069), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Jun 6, 2009 From a bottle poured a drak copper color with a good amount of head. Nice strong bitter hoppy flavor with a lingering finish. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Jun 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity yeasty spicy hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty yeasty spicy bitter hoppy flavor. Has a sweetish malty yeasty hoppy bitter finish with a long bitter aftertaste. Capa (952), Yokosuka, Japan Jun 4, 2009 Pours a clear golden orange with a large off-white head. A complex aroma of strong citrus hops and pleasant spices. Yeast, caramel malts, grapefruit, pine, and light must round out the aroma. Full bodied. This one is fun. Starts more tripel- with spices, yeast, earth, and that touch of must returns. It then moves to a much more bitter, hoppy flavor. Citrus, grapefruit, some grapefruit, with a caramel backbone. Finish is dry and bitter. Really fun to drink this beer. HOPSHUNTER (376), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 4, 2009 Bottle. Poured a medium amber color with a thin off-white head. Decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is of caramel, yeast, spice, hops, and fruit. The flavor was spicy and yeasty with caramel malt but overall dominated by a sweet fruityness. Medium bodied with a slightly spicy, hoppy finish. alagnak (293), Littleton, Colorado, USA Jun 2, 2009 Nose is heavy belgian trippel smell, yeasty, sweet, just a hint of hoppiness. Flavor is a little alcohol heat right away, then bready, sweet trippel complement the hoppy IPA backbone. Neither one is particularly outstanding, though. Good, tasty beer and a novel effort, with some tinkering I think this could be great. thekmoonlegend (93), Lynn, Massachusetts, USA Jun 1, 2009 Medium body, offwhite head and slightly darker than I was expecting. Floral aroma of hops, what you would expect from an IPA but also a hint of the belgian tripel. I thought the taste was very complex, not as much of any aftertaste as I was expecting. This beer was a joy to sip. emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA May 25, 2009 Thanks dirtymartini. Pours a glowing yellow orange with a billowy offwhite head. Very sexy. The nose is hoppy, sweet citrusy hops, mandarin orange, mango, fruity, mild spicy/earthy yeasty character. Nice balance/blend of the two in both the aroma and flavor. Fruity citrusy hop flavor, mild mellow bitterness, a bit peppery and spicy, great yeast presence. Lovely beer with a great mouthfeel, soft carbonation with the perfect bitterness.
