KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Dec 24, 2008 Hazy amber with medium white head. Sweet aroma with yeasty, fruity and hoppy notes. Sweet flavour with hoppy, yeasty and fruity notes. Bitter finish. ghawener (953), San Salvador, El Salvador Dec 22, 2008 Bottle: Back to an IPA, strange mixture between an IPA and a belgian ale perfectly crafted. Fruity herbal, hoppy and slightly malty. Spicey and piney. Excellent. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 22, 2008 bottle from columbus. pours a copper with as much yeast as i drop in it. definitely smells like a tripel. some banana. tastes a lot like alcohol. very clean. DTM (541), Winters, California, USA Dec 22, 2008 Bottle shared with Timfoolery. This one didnt jump out at me. The hoppiness of the IPA took over the flavor of this beer and drowned out the sweetness of the belgian. Good brew, but dont love the blend of the two styles. drewbeerme (2223), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 21, 2008 22oz bottle. pours hazed orage with foamy white head. aroma has citrus, pine, and grassy hop notes with a spicy and estery yeast character to it. flavors of citrus, caramel, grass, spicy, and esters. a nice smooth and subtly spicy finish. really tasty brew. ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Dec 21, 2008 Cloudy orange with a lasting white head, leaving some lace. IPA seems to dominate the mix. Hop-based citrus and pine aroma, along with a little spice and herb (pepper and thyme) that might be Belgian yeast and sugar. The flavour is fruity and spicy and extremely bitter. Mango, orange and white pepper, most notably. I am a big fan of what Green Flash does with the Californian extreme hopping scheme, and this is no exception. nuplastikk (1161), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Dec 19, 2008 22oz bomber. Pours a cloudy orange tan color with a big foamy head. Has that aroma of American No Holds Barred Candi Sugar overkill. I suppose the same can be attitude has been used in the hopping. The collision of the two is quite excellent. Rich, sweet, sandy, sugary, hoppy, yeasty, this is a really complex beer. Bitter, piny, sweet, sticky aftertaste. Lots of yeast sediment at the bottom that only adds to the rich creaminess. kiefdog (1567), Tampa, Florida, USA Dec 17, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a yellow caramel color with a thin, quick settling head. Minimal retention or lacing. Aroma is spicy and floral with notes of honey, ripe fruit, and citrus. Flavor is sweet and malty with spicy, floral and yeast notes. Generally medium body with a slightly sweet, slightly bitter finish.
