Et greit friskt og leskende øl. Rik på smak og et øl som kan anbefales. Allround øl.

Bottle. Light hazy golden colour a medium sized white head. An aroma of malt, caramel, fruit and spice. The taste is light sweet and light bitter. A medium body, oily textura and a dry duration.

Lots of pine on the nose along with citrusy tones, some caramel and toffee. Mouth is quite caramelly with pine, resin, some tropical fruit and slightly yeasty. Aftertaste is fruity with some lingering hop bitterness. Like that quiet yet strangely fascinating girl at a party that you do not notice at first but later slowly inprints herself on your conciousnes... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Greenwood Park. Pours a deep orange with a thin head. Aroma a very light swamp water with a touch of citrus. Flavor explodes a well balanced hops, salt carried by a full body, slightly carbonated. Lovely long aftertaste a well-balanced bitter with caramel. Overall a very rewarding and complex yet well-behaved mouthful.

355ml bottle. Pours a hazy, deep straw with a white head. Hoppy, spicy aroma, grapefruit, yaest, phenols, grass, hay, cucumber (!), apricot. Dry, medium bodied, medium to high bitterness, balanced CO2. Spicy, hoppy taste, spruce, grapefruit peel, yeast, light phenols, apricot, passion fruit. Well balanced, a very nice melange of US hop bomb and Belgian ale. (2013-04-14)

Ar: yeastiness and fruity hops combined, sour dough, corn, bread, hay, pilsner malt and actually some coffee, phenols and some spiciness, ABV well hidden. Ap: amber colour, medium off-White head, lacing. F: Belgian yeastiness, lots of malts, corn, caramel, floral, not a lot of hops, grapefruit, resin, big bitterness for a tripel, impotent bitterness for an IIPA, fat malt backbone and some funky yeastiness. P: medium to full bodied soft carbonation. T: I want more American hops and bitterness.

12 oz. bottle, consumed on 4-8-13. Sweet, sour, tart, vegetal aroma features lemon, grapefruit, crabapple, and compost scents. Pours a mostly clear, slightly hazy orange-gold with a large amount of slow-rising bubbles and a moderate amount of long-lasting, cream-colored head. Tart, dry flavor features grapefruit, honey, minerals, apple cider, and apricot nectar elements. A bit boozy. Dry finish and aftertaste. Full body. Lively and silky in the palate. Really good overall. An excellent double IPA / Belgian strong golden ale cross. 9/4/8/4/17=>4.2

Bottled. Cloudy charnel color with pretty persistent head, yet lower than the average Belgian. Nose is cookie dough and red berries, really reminiscent of St Bernardus. Not the richest hop in smell, so the phenols play first fiddle. Taste is really nice. Good backup from crystal malt (I guess) without making the beer cloying. The hops don’t really come through in flavor but they do in bitterness. Sweet cookies, band-aid phenols and early bitterness that lasts forever - this is what this beer is all about. Medium-full bodied. Interesting interpretation of a Belgian IIPA. It’s different and a bit unbalanced since the bitterness comes out way to quick and hard.

rarbring (657) - Linköping, SWEDEN - APR 10, 2013
Aroma: Smelling of grain, lemon, clove and yeast.
Appearance: A clear amber colored beer. A high off-white head with good lacing and some curtains.
Taste: Tasting bread, grape-fruit, spices and peel.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a coarse texture. A medium body with a very dry finish.
Overall: Very bitter from the hops, lacks some body. And I actually would want more Belgian character.
Note: Bottle 355 ml. Reviewed 2013-04-10.

This seems to be my 50th tripel rating. Bottle. Very yeasty nose with dusty hops prevalent. Pours golden with a dense, tight beige head. Taste is really quite bitter to start, with light sweetness. Hops clean off the tongue neatly, but there are some unwanted fusels here and even a little burn (unusual for Green Flash). Some golden malt but that’s buried under the spicy but dulled hops and especially under the yeast, the latter of which has been pushed to the front of the stage to star but really doesn’t carry it off all that well. There’s an overall impression of freshness, the full body is crisp and lively, and there are some sharp flavors, but the even those can’t manage to transcend the muddle.
