Bottled, from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. Cloudy golden, mid sized head. Herbal nose with plenty of grapefruit. Dryish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Citrusy with notes of marzipan, hugely bitter finish. More slender and drinkable than anticipated for a beer of this size.

11th October 2008. GABF. Wasn’t sure what style this was meant to be - my notes said ’hoppy saison’ so not too far out. Finishes with a warming glow!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2011 2011-06-13, bottle 3 years old, 7-5-9-4-16=41
Hazy copper color; generous compact head. The aroma is mild and harmonious, with malts and light hops. The aging allowed the caramel and toffee to shine, for a very pleasant flavor, with some residual sweetness, while the hop, although well present, is more of a complement to that; the bitterness is quite strong, and there are some hop resins. In the final the alcohol is just warming the tip of the tongue. Well balanced, excellent.
2009-06-12, blind tasting at Papsø’s, 8-4-7-5-16=40
Cloudy deep blond color; medium creamy head. Good hoppy aroma, harsh, fruity (grapefruit, oranges…), sweat. Medium body, some malt and toffee flavor, minimum residual sweetness, strong bitterness, resiny and with citrus fruit peel fruitiness. Strong final. Aggressive IPA, very well hopped. Very good.
