Le Freak is a modern ale created by converging two beer styles, Belgian Trippel and American Imperial IPA. The use of two yeast strains further marries the styles and American hops give the beer its modern flare.

I think I found a way to enjoy a belgian trippel, combine it with an imperial IPA. For me, the combination works real well. A real nice color, and a wonderful aroma. I loved this one.

THANKS! Light amber with off-white head. Creamy milky, thick sweet bread, thick yeast, banana, white sugar sweet, light grass in the back. Apparently this is an Abbey Tripel, well that explains that, not bad at all but not really my thing.

Bottle from backlog. Amber with a large white head leaving thick lacing. Aroma: peach, citrus, pineapple, grass. Taste: tropical fruits, grapefruit, banana, pear, grass and hay, grainy malt, medium bitter.

On tap, poured hazy yellow hue w/ large foamy long-lasting head. Huge sweet funky aroma. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a light sour/bitter finish. Tastes are white wine, white grape, banana, and clove. Light bodied and warm finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear light amber color with a very lively large white head. Aroma is yeast, spice, bread, grapefruit, earthy hop. Taste is lighter than the nose, notes of bread and yeast, a weaker spice note with a great malty body, and an excellent crisp and clean bitter hop note. Overall a great beer, very balanced.

Pours hazy golden with no head on tap. Typical Belgian aroma with typical flavor. Good beer I guess. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear burnt gold pour with thin white head. Bananas and grassy hops on the nose. Soapy, fruity flavor...and bubblegum. Dubble bubble in fact! Hops mostly in the finish. Bitter, long lasting finish. Really complex. More triple than IPA.

Poured light amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of sweet, spicy fruit and soft malt, light yeast. Medium to full body, flavour is yeast, spicy and pretty bitterly hopped.

A lot closer to a double IPA than a tripel. Hoppy and bitter with notes of Belgian yeast in the background. Hints of wheat and pepper. An excellent beer, but a little too similar to their normal DIPA’s.
