COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Le Freak is a modern ale created by converging two beer styles, Belgian Trippel and American Imperial IPA. The use of two yeast strains further marries the styles and American hops give the beer its modern flare.

22oz split served in a SN IPA Glass A - Pale golden body with a big fluffy white head, nice retention and lacing throughout. S - Belgian yeast, bananas, bubblegum, spicy, black pepper, cloves, spices, some honey an floral notes come out when warmed up. T - Follows the nose with spicy yeast wrapped in aggressive hops. Strong undercurrent of fruit, bananas, apples, and pears, spiciness continues with clove and pepper, some honey floral and grapefruit rind toward the back end. Super dry on the finish. M - Medium body with semi-fine carbonation, very dry on the finish. A very complex mix of flavors. Awesome Belgian yeast with good use of hops. This packs a punch in all ways but keeps it’s balance. Very nice. Serving type: bottle 04-18-2013

On tap at bōl in Vail. Pour is hazy orange with a frothy white head and great lacing. Yeasty, light banana, some citrus, peppery, herbal, some coriander and basil in the aroma. Taste is musty, belgian yeast, herbal, some biscuit, straw, white pepper, and herbs with a slightly spicy finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Decent, but it seems muddled. Is it a belgian DIPA, a Tripel, or and IPA?

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy, pale amber. Thin, dense, lasting, sticky, white head. Bready, toasty, Belgian yeast shizzle, first and foremost. Lemon hop. Peachy hop. Some stone fruit in there, too. Taste is fruit salad sweet. Turns yeasty dry. Pithy, oily bitter at the end. Juicy, oily, easy drinking palate. Finishes long, juicy, fusty, pithy bitter. Lip coating sweetness lingers. Daft easy to drink. Fusty, fruity, and lovely.

From Tap. dark golden with an airy white head. nose: malty, bacon, yeast, citrus, hoppy, sugar, vegetables. not sure what to make of this. taste: malt, yeast, hops, alcohol strength, bit funky. MF: peppery in the finish, due to alcohol, complex finish. full body. bitter sweet. sweetness of a triple, bitterness of an IPA. nice brew, bit strange. definitiely not the next IPA in town. this beer needs some time to get on to you ...

Awesome initial aroma and the first sips were great! Then the Belgian yeast took over and the "imperial" IPA aspect took a backseat to the Belgian flavor. Those damn Belgian's (yeast) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of floral hops and dried fruit, pours a clear caramel color with a lasting small white head. Creamy feel with a hoppy finish. Great taste of floral hops, and dried fruit with a hint of chalk.

Pours a golden amber color with a medium head. Aroma has grapes and champagne with a touch of lemon. The taste has bold notes of maltiness, bread and some citrus. Long finish.
