Ends mild hoppy and slight spiced.7-4-8-4-15=3.8
From bottle, blind #10. Pours hazy orange with a slowly collapsing white head. Dry peppery yeasty and slight hoppy aroma. Sweet, peppery, hoppy, spiced and caramelish base flavoured. Medium dry and orange fruity to grapefruity hoppy next to the lasting saison yeast impression. Dry and peppery flavoured finish, smooth with a small edge. Nice one.8-3-8-4-16=3.9 bhensonb (4401), Woodland, California, USA

Commercial description reworded slightly. Pours a hazy ripe apricot color with a decent white head that failed to persist for long. Smells like tripel candi with spice and fruity hop. Tickles my nose. Medium+ body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is quite bitter, balanced with candi, and the fruits are notable. The finish is more bitter than not, and it’s quite a taste treat. It’s definitely worth a try. roder60 (1039), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Pours a hazy bright orange with bubbly froathy white head. Aroma is citrusy and sour but also has a lot of typical belgian yeast aromas - coriander, dough and lemon. Flavor is very very different. Combines a lot of hop bitterness and grapefruit flavors then bubblegum and banana and becomes sweeter. Definitely worth a try just because it is very unique. Aroma of big citrusy grapefruity hops and sweet caramel and biscuity Belgian malts and yeast. Body starts with good malty fullness and sweetness well balanced with bountiful citrus flavor and bittering hops before a crisp, slightly warming bittersweet finish. Is it a DIPA with Belgian yeast? Is it a Tripel with a lot of hops? Ultimatley the hoppy part win out, but there is alot of complexity, with pleny of yeasty banana and bubble gum to compliment the rough piney, citrusy hops. Good stuff. Nose is spicey, fruity, lighty tropical and yeasty, bubble gum notes as well. Body is medium, carbonation is lively, light acidity. Spicey, peppery flavors, citrus, light melon, bublegum notes with some light sweet malts , lightly grainy, nice fruitiness. Lightly sweet finish with a strong hop bite. Interesting, may age well?? Satisfying blend of green, grassy, dry hop cones with a slight saison funk, that pillowy yeast with hints of cobwebs and cheese, it works well here. Bright and flavorful, rich and frothy and soft on the palate, hoppy and bitter for sure, but also delicate, with the hop flavors complimented very well by the sticky but dry cheese-feet yeast note (still quite mild). I like it.
