3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
1 pt. 6 fl. oz. bottle purchased at BevMo in Redding, CA. THE POUR / APPEARANCE: Extremely pillowy, cotton candyish-like head that lasts for a good amount of time- very impressive! As it slowly collapses, it leaves awesome Brussels lace in the glass. Medium golden color, meniscus is medium slow rising, appropriate for the ABV. AROMA / BOUQUET: Hoppiness is quite evident, very floral. Citrus, pine resin. TASTE: Definitive hop bitterness, I am not tasting the "Trippel" character as evident as others describe. I can taste it, but it is more in the "background" in the carbonation. The hop bitterness hits the front and the back of the tongue. PALATE/ MOUTHFEEL: Hop dryness, leaning more towards the IPA side. If you will, it somewhat leans towards a Chimay Cinq Cents or a Westmalle Tripel. OVERALL: A very well crafted beer, but to me it’s more of an Belgian IPA, than a hybrid of a Trippel / IPA. I am looking forward to trying Green Flash’s Trippel...

Nice deep golden color with a big frothy head on top. Nice intense hops nose some cilantro too. Intense raw hops taste, super fresh, not unpleasant nor overhyped , flowery. Unbalanced but in a good way.

Huge foamy head. Nice dirty hop smell. Yeasty taste of the bat then a peppery hop end. Thin and dry with a gritty mouth feel. I like this beer BECAUSE of its flaws!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The hoppy Belgian thing has yet to impress me and this is no exception. Something about the yeast and hops just don’t blend together in a pleasant way for me.

pours bright orange hue with a small soapy white head and sparse lacing. Nose is piney belgian yeast notes husky. Flavors arw piney slightly sweet very lit alcohol unrefined yet interesting. Lots of belgian malt and piney notes. Lots of sweet malts and hops with resinous undertones. Decent stuff.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dirty blonde with a big white head and a very pleasant, sweet nose with a touch of West-coast hops hiding in it. Flavor pulls off the Belgian-IPA marriage better than most, with the slightly fruity and spicy character of a tripel and the distinct floral hops of DIPA both shining through. Backside is long and warm Excellent stuff.

Bottle shared. Huge peach and passion fruit, lots of fruity hop fun, bready body, fairly dry finish. Great stuff, dangerously smooth, a proper hopbomb with a Belgian twist.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 23, 2015
Location: 22 oz bottle from Sparrow-Uptown, 4/22/15
Aroma: Aroma of Belgian yeast, lemon pledge, pepper, as well as some floral and grassy notes.
Appearance: The pour is golden-orange in color with a lasting sheet of beige head and light lace.
Flavor: The flavor is fairly yeasty, not much sweetness, pepper, and a lingering bitterness.
Palate: The body of this beer is medium-plus, with a little bit of booze that you mostly get in the mouthfeel, it has an average-to-lively carbonation, and eventually it has a fairly dry finish to it.
This beer works pretty well. You can feel the ABV a little more here than in most in this style, otherwise, it feels fairly familiar. Definitely nicely made.
