COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Le Freak is a modern ale created by converging two beer styles, Belgian Trippel and American Imperial IPA. The use of two yeast strains further marries the styles and American hops give the beer its modern flare.

Bottle. Pours cloudy hazed deep orange with good pillow-like white moose head and big lace. Hop aromas of citrus, grass herbs, pine - malt charcter displays a caramel sweet malt graininess whilst the yeast imparts a sherbet, earthy dough character. Medium light body, average to decent malt character; caramel, lightly toasty, overshadowed by a decent bitterness, and tart complex belgo yeast character. FInish lingers near balanced, but all big on the aforementioned, if anything favouring the bitterness and yeast.

On tap at Relm in San Elijo Hills. Pours a beautiful honey color with an effervescent offwhite head. Very light aroma of honey. Interesting honey flavoring on an earthy palate. Nicely done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Orange golden pour with white head. Citrus aroma almost like apricots. Little bitterness in taste then fruitiness like apricots

Bottle. Cloudy copper pour, lots of thin straw like white head that simmers leaving little traces along the sides of my glass. Aroma, lemon, hops, grass, almost white wine like, very nice. Taste, bitter up front , even more so in the middle, the triple side shines through towards the end with some lemon and fruity esters, finishes bitter and yeasty. Nice beer.

Very herbal and in a good way. Lots of malt and toast. Citrus, peppery and not much yeast. Looks bottle conditioned or just a lot of sediment. A bit dry, not too heavy, the 9% is well masked. A hint of fruitiness.

Tap at Bricks. Citrus, wheat, apricots and a some bitterness. Very dry. I need to go back and try this one again. Still canít figure what I think.

Bottle, 9.2%. The aroma starts off with a mild citric note, hint of vanilla. Almost clear copper colour. Fruity flavour, some vanilla, a little paint thinner. Distinct but clean bitterness. Refreshing for the ABV, but a bit in-your-face.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with stable off-white head. Clear, sweet aroma of malt, caramel and fruit, with subtle notes of flowers and hops. Bitter aroma of hops, with malty and fruity notes. Warming alcohol presence. Sweetish finish. If it is balanced, then it must be some weird kind of balance. Nice, though.

Quite sturdy hoppy aroma and flavour that is just great. Good malty base. Pretty amber colour and off white large head.

This beer.....this beer. What is it?! Itís two beers? Itís one beer?? Itís a trippel itís an imperial IPA?? Itís both blended so perfectly you couldnít even tell. Lets just start with popping the lid. Massive sweet aroma from the belgian yeast followed immediately by the hops from the IPA. Can I get a balancing act?? Iím getting hot and bothered. As this warms up it just gets more complex and even better. Upon tasting it just punches your face with the massive hop bitterness but switches gears on you with the trippel. Just so damn balance and so dry and so incredibly good. This thing will just annihilate you in the best way. This is how beer should taste. Itís flawless. Just go get it NOW.

Has a sweet yeast aroma and a good head. Has a bitter hippy long finish melded with a sweet Belgian flavor. An unusual mix.
