(Bottled) Pale copper with a smallish, but firm head. Aroma of some warming alcohol, soft spiciness, some lemon and raisins. Spicy-alcoholic flavor with toffee maltiness and low bitterness. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Can’t really get the IPA from this, but nevertheless it’s an ok, spicy tripel with lots of maltiness.

(Bottle) Pours deep orange golden with a creamy off-white head. The aroma holds earthy, grassy, herbal, light citric and mild fruity hops, plastic phenols, soft tropical esters, solid bread and dough. Touch of almond paste, flowers, viola, menthol, bubblegum, canned fruits and alcohol. The flavour is lint sweet, medium bitter and light acidic with notes of grassy/herbal/fruity hops, bready malt, nutty yeast, light esters and touch of phenols. The mouthfeel is clean, juicy and light creamy with a light to medium carbonation. White pepper, grapefruit and white bread/crackers on the finish. Medum bodied. Well made.

Taste is sweet and slightly bitter with crackers, orange peal, ammonium chloride, gunpowder, pine, freshly cut grass, resin, plums, mango, yeasty esters, barnyard, pears, green apples, green grapes , vine gums, alcohol and liquorice root. Mouthfeel is round, dry, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with fresh grass, orange zest, dry soil, mango, crackers and pine.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden orange with a one finger off white head and some lacing. aroma is very complex with a citrus, pine, fresh cut grass, tropical fruits bready malts, belgian yeast, candied fruits, apicot and some sour apple. Taste is almost as good as the smell with alot of citrus, pine, grass and tropical fruits up front with a seamless transition to sweet bready malts, candied fruits, Belgian yeast, apricots, and some green apple notes. Has a full body with a super creamy mouthfeel and a dry, bitter, yet still sweet, long finish. Overall, a fantastic fusion of a imperial IPA and a Trippel.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2012 A 22 oz bomber poured into a duvel tulip. Pours a mostly clear bright orange amber. 2 finger off white head lingers a bit and leaves nice lacing as it slowly shrinks to coat the top. Aroma is very complex. Apricot, bread, grapefruit, fresh cut grass, Belgian yeast, golden raisins, and sour apples. Taste is bitter citrus up front. Grapefruit and pine resin. It quickly moves towards a bready, sweet candi, yeasty flavor. Pretty much a perfect fusion of the styles. Mouthfeel is medium and finish is dry. Excellent beer.

Draught at Breukelen bier merchants. Hazy golden with great head and lace. Aroma and flavors of orange and yeasty fruity esters along fresh grain (wheat?). Taste is lightly sweat then cleanly bitter with a dry long finish. Body has as velvety soft and alive Belgian character. Very refreshing.

Golden color with a medium size foam. Mix between an IPA and a Tripel. Sweet and hoppy, a little too sharp in taste.

Lemony yellow/amber. Tight, big white head with plenty of lacing. Citrusy, yeasty aroma. Lemony malt. Fruity, malty taste. Slight hop flavor, but mostly malt. Sweet, smooth fruity malt aftertaste. Very nice.

22oz bottle poured into tulip glass. Aroma: Belgian yeast, coriander, cloves, oranges, hay, lemongrass. Hint of metallic smell. Appearance: Golden orange color with 3 fingers of frothy offwhite head that faded slowly and lingered to the end of the glass. Laces glass incredibly well. Clear pour. Taste: medium sweet, mild bitter Palate: finish is medium bitter. lively carbonation. light body and creamy texture. alcohol comes through a bit here but not bad for 9.2%. Overall: This definitely has a Belgian flavor to it. Not as hoppy as i was expecting but I also don’t know the bottled on date for this. Maybe a bit more bitter than I would normally like but it isnt too overpowering. Probably wont buy this again but glad to have tried it.

Orangeish amber in color, hazy with a thin head. Good Belgian yeast and fruity aroma. There is a good amount of hops that bring out a floral aroma and flavor. This was a very good brew.
