On draft at Tap 25. It pours a bit cloudy yellow with a white head. The aroma is lightly fruity with strong Belgian yeast and pineapple brett. The flavor is full and fruity with tangerines, orange, pineapple and a little spice and phenols. A little soapy but nice notes of light summer fruits. A bit too estery for my tastes, but good.

On tap at Flanny’s in Tempe during the tap takeover. It pours with a totally opaque deep pale gold body with copper hues and supports a . . . well, nearly no head at all. The aroma offers up faint soft apple and vinegar and then some saison yeasty spices, faint red wine notes and a fainter still Brett like funkiness. The taste is pretty darn smooth with a mix of malts, soft vinegar and sweet red apple notes rolling into saison yeastiness and mild Brett tartness and funk around the edges.

On draft at Flanny’s, orange pour, a little hazy. Brett and orange peel aroma. Nice and funky. Taste has some nice wine character, and a little tart and just enough funk. Very, very good!

A solid, very drinkable saison. Refreshing, a bit of fruity bouquet with some spice notes. An excellent beer for drinking at an outdoors festival on a hot day. Stone Sour Fest 2012.

Draught, announced as 5.2% ABV Pale golden beer with small white rim and lasting lace. Apple, faint grain nose. More apple, making it really cidery; lightly sweet, but with a fine bitter edge. Medium bodied at best, long lasting flavours. Frankly more cider than beer.

In taster at Churchills. Looks light yellow. White head. Smells a bit sour and light. Tastes pretty dry with very clean palate and slight sourness. Definitely note the wild yeast. Great light belgian wild ale. OVerall 8 of 10.

(Draught) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of mustiness, lemon zest, grass, and horse blanket. Flavor of florals, herbs, vanilla, brett baked apple, subtle wood, and grass with a dry finish.

On tap at Sourfest. Pours with a hazed golden body with a large and lasting white head. Great lace. Aromas are of funk, saison phenols, brett, grass (hops?), straw, delicate malt profile. Flavors are a little bit watery, but understandable at the ABV. Funk, light white wine, straw, hay, brett, earth. Dry, lively bubbles, light bodied. Very drinkable. I could drink a lot of this! I really enjoyed this one.

Draft at Stone Sour Fest 11. Slightly hazy yellow pour, with a white head. Grainy malt, peppery, bits of fruit, light sweetness, and some brett character (straw, earthy). Light saison, not overly interesting.

A: The pour on this one is a hazy golden color with a very large white head. S: Wasn’t sure what this was at first, but it definitely makes itself known as a Saison. Lots of spicy phenols, especially pepper, and plenty of fruit notes. A nice pear and apple aroma and a bit of straw and grass. T: The flavor profile is very similar to the aroma. Lots of pepper, straw, grass, and yeast notes. The fruit character is a bit more on the sweet side with a touch of apple juice to go along with the lemon zest and pear flavors. M: On the lighter side of medium in body with a medium to high carbonation. O: This was a nice Saison, and good on a hot day, but not an amazing beer.
