4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A solid, very drinkable saison. Refreshing, a bit of fruity bouquet with some spice notes. An excellent beer for drinking at an outdoors festival on a hot day. Stone Sour Fest 2012.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught, announced as 5.2% ABV Pale golden beer with small white rim and lasting lace. Apple, faint grain nose. More apple, making it really cidery; lightly sweet, but with a fine bitter edge. Medium bodied at best, long lasting flavours. Frankly more cider than beer.

In taster at Churchills. Looks light yellow. White head. Smells a bit sour and light. Tastes pretty dry with very clean palate and slight sourness. Definitely note the wild yeast. Great light belgian wild ale. OVerall 8 of 10.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Sourfest. Pours with a hazed golden body with a large and lasting white head. Great lace. Aromas are of funk, saison phenols, brett, grass (hops?), straw, delicate malt profile. Flavors are a little bit watery, but understandable at the ABV. Funk, light white wine, straw, hay, brett, earth. Dry, lively bubbles, light bodied. Very drinkable. I could drink a lot of this!
I really enjoyed this one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Stone Sour Fest 11. Slightly hazy yellow pour, with a white head. Grainy malt, peppery, bits of fruit, light sweetness, and some brett character (straw, earthy). Light saison, not overly interesting.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: The pour on this one is a hazy golden color with a very large white head.
S: Wasn’t sure what this was at first, but it definitely makes itself known as a Saison. Lots of spicy phenols, especially pepper, and plenty of fruit notes. A nice pear and apple aroma and a bit of straw and grass.
T: The flavor profile is very similar to the aroma. Lots of pepper, straw, grass, and yeast notes. The fruit character is a bit more on the sweet side with a touch of apple juice to go along with the lemon zest and pear flavors.
M: On the lighter side of medium in body with a medium to high carbonation.
O: This was a nice Saison, and good on a hot day, but not an amazing beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
tap at the brewpub-thanks to the guy that give me a free under the radar sample of this-pours hazy dark yellow almost orange with a soapy white head and good lacking. nose of spicy funky brett esters-lovely! wow nice big fruity flavors mellons and lemongrass-this is cool! long fruity finish with brett character. the bret gives this a very lite funk and lots of flavor for such a low ABV beer. reminds me of Jolly pumpkin Bam but not as complex. glad to have tried this one though!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2010 Tap @ SD Taproom. Pours a cloudy yellow orange color with a small wispy white ring. Nose starts with Brett funk then gives way to lemon zest and fain clove spice. Not much barrel presence on this brew, finish is fairly dry with some lemon zest.
